Does it only have one mode, the old 40 man? Or does it have different modes and I’m too blind to figure out how to change it?
it only has one mode.
Once, 40 player only, no difficulties
once you’ve killed the bosses for the rest of the week you get a nice empty firecave
Boooo. Thanks for answering me though. Guess I’ll have to wait til next week to try again for that man-skirt for my druid.
imo just level several leather bois to 60+ and do on multiple chars
say rogues monk druids etc, not warriors tho, no point in non-leather bois
Hey Eyridan, firstly good luck with the transmog! Secondly don’t forget that because transmog is account wide you can run it on any alts that also use leather as their main armor to help get the item you’re after!
One time.
And it has only one mode, as all the raids from that time.
The armour is class locked so only a druid can unlock the transmog and I only have one so far.
That’s how it used to be, but see blue post above, the class lock doesnt affect same time items anymore, or at least that’s how it should be.
But of course it doesn’t work say mage - hunter gear cause cloth = / = mail etc.
They changed this in wod and then again some more in legion
Hence how paladins can transmog the dreadnaught t3 set etc
Well I had several Nightslayer pieces drop and they didn’t get unlocked. I’ve run old raids on my demon hunter and none of the class locked items unlocked the transmog.
So now I’m confused…
First rule, never expect blizz mechanics to ever work as intended
Oh, they changed how it works? I didn’t know about this in Legion. I couldn’t mix class sets and classes when transmogging either, I had unlocked many of them specifically already.
Ye I can’t confirm 100% of all gear but a HUGE amount of gear if not all, can be unlocked via same type now, not just class specific, although again the gear type has to be the same as urs, so can’t unlock any mail gear as a clothie etc.
I don’t know how much gear was class locked before but almost all of the raid sets are class locked (except BFA) if they drop from bosses and they can’t be unlocked by other classes.
The Dreadnaught’s Battlegear you mentioned earlier was never class locked because the original set was obtained via a Warrior only quest. So when account tmog became a thing, the style unlocked for all plate wearers. But anything that has a class tag on it it doesn’t unlock for other classes. Basically, if you can’t wear it, you can’t unlock it.
I know I came here looking for help on something but after your earlier post, I hoped I would be able to get the gear I was after sooner but after spending a lot of times on Wowhead and testing in game (and installing Can I Mog It?), it doesn’t seem like they removed the restrictions to unlock on most tiered sets at all. Same goes for a lot of PVP sets.
Hey folks!
I just wanted to chime in here and confirm that armor with a class tag on it (e.g., Druid class armor like the Cenarion set from Molten Core with Class: Druid on it) will only unlock for transmog purposes if you loot it on a Druid character. That functionality has never changed.
I think Stulxyma may have been confused as Eyridan posted on his Demon Hunter, but seems to be going for Druid class armor. Molten Core does drop some non-set leather pieces and weapons that a Demon Hunter or any other character with the right armor/weapon skills could unlock, after all.
Eyridan, if you’re after the Cenarion Raiment look for use on your Demon Hunter, Molten Core won’t give you what you’re after. There is a recolour option available for most Tier 1 sets in Burning Crusade dungeon content however. These are not class-locked, and for the Cenarion Set that’s this one: https://www.wowhead.com/transmog-set=388/cenarion-raiment-recolor
As an added bonus, dungeon lockouts are a lot less than raid lockouts and you can run most of these at least once a day on Heroic and as often as you want (instance limits permitting) on Normal :).
