I wish to hear the differences of peoples experience with this.
As a set costs 25k, upgrading sanctum stuff costs 1/1,5k for first part then just keeps increasing, then sending out missions, then getting any other cosmetic in these Covenants etc…
How much anima do YOU get each week?
How much time do you spend getting it?
What are your choice of source for it?
Are you happy with it?
Do you think the small increase incoming is enough?
I personally wish Anima was earned in a more repeatable, spammable option so I can do 5 hour grind of it if I wanted to on a boring saturday, so I could afford 1 upgrade for it.
I personally feel its very much below the feeling of “funprogress”, due to the amount earned and timegated ways to earn it (both traveltime and WQs having to respawn etc).
So I am seeking suggestion on how to earn it more effectively -
Or just hear if others struggle with this too.
Thanks for reading, please keep the topic friendly and in good tone.
I wish you all the best in your adventures.

I get about 2-3k anime a week as a guess. I don’t farm it at all and only do the world quests if they have the big rewards (250 anime) or are easy/fun like the moth cocoon one in ardenweald.
You get a lot from the pvp quest so I do those too except the ranked ones.
I hope they buff how much we get because I have like 70 souls and 2k anime

i go for the weekly and then don’t keep track of it. I just do pvp or some mythics. the only time go out of my way for anima is if some rare world quest appears with awards 250 of it. But i don’t bother with doing normal world quests anymore as the anima simply isnt worth the time as its too little. Upgrading covenant stuff to a higher rank takes like 10k anima and the cosmetics also take tons. 70 anima from some world quest simply inst worth the time.
Anima gain should be increased

I couldn’t care less about the cosmetics and the only thing I upgrade in my covenant is the rank 1 table for missions and Queens Conservatory after that and I’m fine with the anima gains. Full raidclear giving 1k is super nice and increase in M+ was also welcome. Doing minimum 10, closer to 20 though per week, gets me plenty for what I use it for.
2k at a guess. I will actively do the 250 anima quests, perhaps the arena ones if they are up and then whatever I get from 4 or so M+ dungeons a week.
I will not seek out the garbage WQ.

I used to do a few WQs with calculated highest payoff but the steep grind to afford anything just made me drop off the wheel.
I still want to get my upgrades and see my sanctum grow and unlock the cosmetics, but I hope they implement something better to aquire it - and in larger, repeatable ways! ^^
Im at 80~ish souls for the 2nd time as I spent 100 on buying the mount in Maldraxxus Necrolord covenant before I switched ti nightfae.
Now I am just feeling a bit lost and… tumbled.
Greatly appreciate the answers so far from everyone.
Nice to hear how people approach it and what they earn! ^^
Yeah you gain so many souls as you get more renown, yet anima gains don’t increase at all. By the time you got enough to buy something or upgrade something you are already sitting on hundreds of souls
Usually I just farm it passively by doing Anima WQs for the callings really aswell as all 250 Anima quests and the Mission table.
Maybe once a week I actively go farming on my main if i am bored.
Am not far with the sanctum upgrades but completed all my 3 characters convenant set and the 1st upgrades on the teleportation Option.
I dont really care all too much about it since I doubt the cosmetics and pets will vanish that quickly, so theres plenty of time to farm for them.
So you dont really care yeah? I wish I did not either, but that would also mean another aspect of covenants failed in bringing something interesting to the table.
Its nice you get 1k yeah - I CBA raiding anymore after curve
I wish they gave higher amounts tho.
More like 500/1k per boss killed in normal, up it in hc - up it more in mythic.
Also giving M+ 1k per key level would be mega nice and cause me to feel like running them aint 100 worthless.
Also giving torghast an anima income would be nice too. 500/1k per boss killed sounds reasonable.
Then I would do content, I guess.
Now I am just burned out and staring at the huuuuge farms and rng and kinda noped out for a bit to do something else… ^^"
I mean I just don’t like the cosmetics of any of the covenants. Only the venthyr leather set looks dope but I have no characters in that covenant.
I’d wager they’ll increase the anima gains in further patches since as per lore there’s a draught and as such anima is limited.
Yeah I getcha ^^
I truly hope they increase it - by a lot.
Hopefully sooner than later!
I used to grind WQs hardcore. But I got a full upgraded set.
I don’t care about upgrading any of the covenant things more (they’re all lvl 1 or 2). I don’t care about renown anymore since the story ended.
I don’t care about Shadowlands anymore.
I’m done with it.
Am hyped for tomorrow so here’s hoping for more good news, after reading the content summary I’m really happy with how 9.1. looks. Also so far what they’ve changed on PTR is extremely positive, buffing underperforming legendaries instead of nerfing strong ones etc.
I don’t care about Shadowlands anymore.
I’m done with it.
Everyone’s heard you already over 100 times since you include it in every one of your posts. Go be a doomsayer somewhere else.

Not up to you what I do.
Go bother your parents upstairs. Leave your basement for a bit.
Imagine calling someone a basement dweller when according you, you do every single WQ every day. Or at least used to, for months on end. Play for was it 12? hours a day. Sounds like projecting to me.
I DID. I don’t anymore. And haven’t for a while now.
Neh. I have my own place, my life outside of WoW. I’m not projecting anything.
