How much do Blizzard designers make?

The irony…

This post itself is irony, because it’s ‘hostile’ in itself. More the passive aggressive kind of course, but still hostile.

I’m not self-deluded into thinking it’s not though. The amount of forum posts that are ruined by the same handful of people constantly bickering and derailing topics is so damn tiring. I genuinely wish for a day when Blizzard start permanently banning forum trolls so they can’t keep up this weird hobby of wallowing in misery…but I know that will never happen.

I can see what you mean. I contemplated quitting the forums again for a while this week just because they are so full of negativity it’s just depressing to a degree.

I’d rather feel a little positive towards WoW now with 9.2 on the horizon, but these forums make that very hard honestly.

and the funny thing its all level3 and can spam gifs and memes in threads irelevant to topic in order to derail and forum ban people …pathetic hobby

It’s not a hobby, it’s a lifestyle!

please do. not entirely sure what a person that’s scared to enter a mythic dungeon, who engages in no group content in the game could possibly contribute to a discussion about the quality of life of the game especially in discussions about a content update.

How’s this for a hot take on in-game graphics/art…?

Maybe players expectations are TOO DAMNED HIGH due to insane numbers of games competing for players attention?

Were older examples of art assets better looking/more aesthetically appealing? Possibly…
Was there much in the way of peer-to-peer competition at the time…? I’d say “almost certainly not”… so you get to a stage where the players of any one game are ungrateful swine who (in many cases) have no appreciation for other peoples’ endeavours.

i always appreciate a good thing when it comes along… getting rare though these days in the gaming industry i must say.

maybe im just getting old and cynical though. i dont think i am… but who knows hard to judge yourself :stuck_out_tongue:

You wouldn’t be the first… and sure as hekk will NOT be the last - that’s for damned sure.

Oh… and @Veetea - why the hekk do you think we have TRANSMOGRIFICATION…??

I need to make sure people like you are kept in check.
It’s my duty.

You keep saying that. Why?
I’m not ‘scared’. I don’t ENJOY it. I don’t think mythic dungeons are FUN.
One of the reasons for that is because there’s people like you in there. People who, for me, ruin my gaming experience with their holier than thou, elitist attitude towards gaming.

Simply not true.

I probably know more about this game than you ever will.
So yeah.

Keep trolling man. Keep trolling.

They do not look bad in the slightest, but my personal opinion is that they fail to portray the class fantasy of their respective class. Is it extremely difficult to tell which set belongs to which class.

I don’t think that was the designer’s intent.
They went for a ‘setting aesthetic’ instead of a class one.
I’m not that bothered. I’ve never liked any of the hunter sets and this one isn’t any different for me. So meh. Just more sets to never wear.

And that is a mistake in my opinion. Class sets should portray the class fantasy of their respective class to a certain degree, in order to be clearly recognizable and iconic. These sets fail to do that.

Oh, but I think they DO that. ‘to a certain degree’.
I don’t like the sets overal, and definitely hate the hunter one, but I CAN see ‘class aspects’ in their designs.

Hmm, depends. I for one cannot tell which of the plate sets is the paladin, warrior or death knight set.

The DK one is the one with the skulls. Just about as corny class based as you can get.
The Paladin one has the ‘judgement like’ helmet.
The warrior set with the big blocky shoulders and the ‘battle gear of valor’ like helmet.

So yeah… there’s definitely recognizable stuff in there for me.

I DO think that the warlock helmet is a mistake; it looks even more like the ‘judgement’ helmet than the paladin one does. That one is a boo-boo afaiac.

Thread summed up…

“Raaargh! Your design sucks I could do better!!”

OK… Fair enough. Any proof or are you just bellyaching…

“Raargh you disagreed with me!! Blizard bootlicker!!”

Bless… Anything else?

“Yes Don’t reply to me until you agree!”

But Im allowed to disagr…

“SCREW YOU GUYS I’M GOIN… HOME…”

The sets are cool and while every class does get their own set I cannot tell which set goes to which class for the vast majority of them, which is a shame.
The way these sets are made is what I thought Blizzard meant in BFA when they said ‘we’re going to make more thematic sets for the content’ only to disappoint and then pushout only 4 appearances per tier so that’s a positive, shame it had to wait until the next expansions last patch
Would like the next tier sets to be more distinguished so that you can actually look at a set and go ah yeah that’s the warrior one but for now I’m happy we’re getting one new set per class again.

Just ignore him. He does this on almost every thread, spreading how is he superior/better than the rest of us. The poor deluded fool.
