Just me but I find other players jumping for no reason annoying
Not quite this, but I’m definitely not one of those excited ADHD puppies you sometimes see in the game.
never.
it looks so silly when people jump around
Yes. Always and frequently.
Part of the reason I dont play casteds much is down to the fact i forget im susposed to be casting and actively jump around
I only use the space bar to lift off my proper flying mount and hover before taking off. Can’t think of any other reason to use the jump function. Saying that I sometimes jump before using slow fall when on the Dragon Isles as I tend not to use a dragon. When I hand that quest in for gliding thro the hoops I just jump off and slow fall and then ride my ground mount to the other place and take the free ride up.
One place to test your jumping skills is in Feralas up by the harpies. This jump is an intricate move that requires you be facing and jumping in a precise way. Sometimes takes several attempts. Not sure why jumping wasn’t used more as a problem solving game mechanic.
I also play a game with my silver tabby in Karnums Glade where I try to jump onto the podium and get the cat to jump with me and also land on the podium. Like running and jumping up on the fences in Elwynn Forest and see if the cat stays up with you. Not easy. When I get bored in game its either that or Solitaire… or at a push Dragonflight. You know how it is.
The space bar takes a beating when I see a friend/guildie/somebody I thought dropped off the face of the earth several years ago.
I did buy new keyboard few months back and it has very sensitive space bar, to the point that just laying my finger there auses me to jump accidentaly quite a lot. It was even killing me in raids for few weeks before I adjusted. So yeah I jump quite a lot nowadays.
only when combat requires it
i am the jumping holy paladin, jumping and giving holy shocks. holy paladin so good, instant cast, instant cast
I jump around when using Divine Steed as quick travel indoors - if you get the timing right, it runs out mid-jump and your character looks like they’re pogoing.
As per Night Elfy tradition, I jump a lot in order to see how many front flips I can proc in a row, personal record is 4! It was amazingly lucky
You want to get the last jump in when it says 0s left on the buff. If you’re jumping “downhill” to boot you can really squeeze the most out of it.
When I was a wee baby, my father always told me. “KEEP YER FEET ON THE GROUND!”.
/Slap.
Mostly when needed since there’s no meaning to do it otherwise.
One exception; I do it a lot when i’m in an unusally good mood.
Only if required. I utterly hate when ppl jump around me…/shiver
I forgot to add from my previous comment that I also tend to jump when a speed buff I have on is about to expire, to maintain momentum for a slight bit longer.
Most of the times unless I’m in the AH.
I specially jump when bosses take a while to kill.
As a warrior i always jump right before i charge, then charge mid-air, No idea why, i dont even think about it, its just a reflex
ohh boy, how i do love to jump! every other keystroke is a jump.
Its a well known fact that jumping or spamming Q and E increases DPS output significantly!
I’ve tried to stop jumping because it has killed me in keys.
Apart from that I only jump all the time.
I may have a slight issue…
