At level 40 I had managed to save up 60g (Not buying a thing since 32) and a guildie lent me 40g so I could grab my mount, riding and 10g spare.
Have just about 40g back now and I’m 44, hoping to get to around 50g tonight with just questing / vendoring skins and pay him back putting me back on 10g and debt free 
The AoE dungeon spam is kind of sad to me.
But to each their own.

Let’s all play like we did 15 years ago… That is not going to happen. Nobody is forcing you to adopt to a particular playstyle, so you should also not judge others for theirs.

I have around 3g as I just had to pay 18g for riding skill and 72g for a mount. I am level 41

Level 48 105g , bought a ton of gear from ah from level 10 to 40 so classic gold farming turned out to be easier than ppl tought , you can literally have a gold for mount at 40 by just playing the game.i also have 220 tailoring and 220 enchanting.
Level 57. Approximately 450g.
i had 50 gold yesterday i am 46 warlock, now i have 6 gold, i funded the guild’s spell power flask yesterday made 60 Spell power Elixirs for Guild bank

It also stands to reason that you’ve got a lot of spare time to play and accumulate wealth ahead of the curve. Just one advantage to not having much else to do but game? ( I don’t mean that in a salty or insulting way - it’s a genuine advantage in WoW)

I did not cheat and have 43g at level 38. There are some people exploiting layering, and they will have so much gold and destrying the economy. Hopefully justice is served and they will be banned. Its sad to see so many honest players with less than 100g, doing everything to get enough for a mount the honest way.
I actually reached 0g 0s 0c yesterday 
I had to beg for the remaining 10c from a druid called chloeprice. I now have 2g XX but my banker AH alt is just getting off the ground now, so maybe the riches will flow soon

I am not at home as we speak. My friends and myself toke 4 days off work to relive our old childhood days. That’s not too bad I think.

15g at level 42 with a mount. I’m noticing quest rewards that you don’t need can be sold for 1g+ at this point, or quests generally award +1g also, so I imagine it’s gonna go up from lvl 40.
I think over my two chars, I have about 20g lvl 23/24. Having a junk seller and an addon that tells you the highest vendor price for rewards you don’t need has been really helpful.

Not much I am playing 7 characters 3 for main professions and 4 for classes kinda hard to manage gold flow with all that is going on.
Level 25 and have a whopping ~2g to my name.
I had almost 5g at one point, but after reaching level 24 the warrior trainer and I had a disagreement about who should get to keep those. He won.
