Hey as we know 3D is very hard, what’s the GS required to clear this?

The world first for wotlk classic cleared OS25 within 10-12 minutes after raid release.
So knowledge of the fight + Pre raid BiS should be enough.

25 man you dont need that much. Heroic dungeon gear is fine to kill it. 10 man however is quite brutal. You either need absolute pumper dps or a decked out paladin tank/blood dk to survive the breaths during last drake.
Can confirm. We did 10 man 3D this thursday. Tried zerg and ended up killing all 3 drakes because other 10-mans in our guild also needed pumper dps and we couldn’t just take all of them so we lacked dps to kill Sarth before 2nd drake. And killing all 3 is a challenge, especially for MT.

Still people are using it as some kind of metric, but if a player has all the wrong stats on their gear but 213 gear all over it would show like a high gear score player but then effectively have such bad performance that people can’t understand why it’s happening?
General text chat would look like:
“Why you play so bad bruh?!”
“You got such high gear score wtf bruh?!”
“How can you be so bad with such a high gearscore bruh?!”
Gearscore is a bad system only made for people who want to be seen and flex, just like achievements.

How else would you sort random people who want to join your raid other than GS? Im not saying GS is sacred but at least it gives you SOME info about gear.

Inspect at VH just like at Adal during TBC? I can’t understand people who look just at your GS and not on your gear.
A full PvP-geared holy paladin will have 3700 gearscore, yet he will have nowhere enough intellect and haste PvE pieces with lower GS provide. Thus he will be unprepared for challenges like OS 3D even though having sufficient GS.

+1 is doable, maybe +2 but yeah 10m 3D need much higher gear. Maybe at 226 with everyone in there its possible. 200 though, crazy hard. We can’t do it in my guild either.

More so need people with brains than high gear score.
If asmongold can clear it with abunch of pugs in barely pre-bis gear at 3AM in the morning communicating with them through stream I’m sure any 25 raid can.

You won’t be able to brute force 10m 3D for a good while yet. Big pumpers would likely be able to do it in bis Naxx gear, but those people are already able to do it the normal way in crafted/dungeon gear.
Originally the zugzug way was discovered sometime around ICC.
Everyone can see you are PvP geared if they look at your HP/mana. You gonna get kicked right after you join such raid.
How exactly do you measure someones brain if you make a pug raid?
GS is in no way a realistic measure of requirements

But for average guilds/pugs yeah, I agree, 200 not enough.
Sorry, didn’t notice that. But I think Naxx gear is enough for avg guild to zerg +3.
My overall point was that the kind of people who can pump well enough to brute force it are on the level of play, where they can liesurely do it the normal way, in much inferior gear.
As for pugs i’d go as far as saying that on 2D+ it’s not gonna be pug friendly until the level of gear has reached trivial faceroll levels.
