I did a 10 man with my guild and the first 3 bosses only dropped one piece of gear each. Yet 20 man drops 3 pieces each boss?
according to blizzard, around 15% chance per boss.
So when you go 10 man, it either drops 1 or 2.
Thats just disgusting.
yea. Raid is officially pointless for pugging.
So unless you have a 20 man group who trades and split runs to gear up individuals, it’s absolutely not worth the effort, specially since the vault rewards are also worse.
Are you sure about that? Does that mean that you get no loot drop increase going from 20 man to 30?
Just curious. I thought that the logical path Blizzard would take is 1 drop for every 10 man in the raid.
That was like that even before the Individual loot was implemented. 10 man 2 drops, iirc, but with chance of duplicates.
Remember waiting of Trinket from immerseus from SoO around 3 months with bonus rolls each week. Felt good when I finally got it
Blizzard stated in a blue post, that the intended drop rate for a 20 man raiding party is 3 per boss. Which means, it’s about 15% chance for a loot per player.
So, i doubt that’ll change with 30 people or 10. 15% is all we’re getting.
Hehe, at least in the last 4 expansions we had the false hope of getting something through the extra rolls.
With the current system, i might skip 8/10 bosses and go straight to Stone generals and Sire, since these 2 are still worth the effort due to their loot and ilevel.
Thats the keyword. Bonus rolls. We need something against this mess, getting MAYBE one item after 10 boss is unacceptable. And Im not even going to talk about M+.
Dont worry, you still hav the weekly vault where you can target a item.
Here you go.

So they succeeded in making raiding ONLY for the top 4 guilds ;D

That makes a perfect sense tho?
If 20=3 items
And 10=1 item
Then 15=2 items
Which totaly checks math wise.
Anything in between has % chance to drop another item, increasing towards next “point” so 11 people can drop 2 item but 14 people are much more likely to drop 2 items.
U cant have half people but 2/3 of loot…
2 item drops for 14 players too. The usual 2-3-9 raid comp.
sounds about right
Thats what i said tho? 15=100% chance for 2 items, for 14 its like 90+% so it usualy drops 2 itema, very rarely one.
Let me ask you a thing - how many bonus loot you would get from 3 weekly rolls. Sometimes none sometimes 2.
And by MoP there was no weekly chests or Vault. So it was still the same mess.
Thats 3 more chances to get something. And I can aim where I want that extra chance, not just a random thing.
You cant target via GV… lmao?
Imagine dedicating 2-3 hours of day to do something that has a 10% chance of rewarding you something, Blizzard must be laughing at our stupidity while counting our money.
