So I have no idea about the policy on bumping posts, I couldn’t find any info on it here. Am I allowed to bump a post at all? Is it dependent on what type of post it is?
To be specific I am selling heavy junkboxes and I made a post on the kazzak forum. Is it kosher to up the post or do I make a new one after awhile? I will keep selling and so I want to make a post that is being able to be seen but I obviously don’t want to be spamming or necroing.
On the new forum you can’t be the first to post a reply in a thread you made, you need someone else to post in it first.
I think just using the word bump also invokes the rage of The Forum Guardians, so you need to fill in an update or ad something to it, if you want to bring a post up
If the post haven’t had any replies in 30 days it will be locked, so necroing isn’t possible anymore
The act of posting simply to bump a thread is considered spamming. This also includes bumping very old threads for no reason (called ‘necro bumping’ or ‘necroing’).
I do however think I have seen someone bending the bumping rules when they changed the headliner, but I am unsure if I am mixing something up
It must be something you can test out
There is a very long and very annoying history amongst the forum trolls to take a post that is several years old and just write ‘bump’ in it.
Pulling a thread that is long gong and buried just to see the forum going mental over a problem that might have been solved years ago - that would be a no-reasons bumping
