hey i had c casette commodore 64 as my first gamer device im old as time aswell

as for the age of wow, had few accounts through years and if first one was in vanil and i would transfer one from there to current i guess that would technically make him 18 years old but like from cryosleep, but may they rest in piece i dont want to disturb their slumber
Was a Sinclair Spectrum guy myself- started with the 48k model (with the rubber keyboard) then up to the 128k model with built-in cassette deck. Learnt BASIC and assembly languages on that thing.
Modelled this character on myself when i joined in late WOTLK (2010) so it was 39 years old upon creation

Rolled my first character a few weeks before TBC launched
Your topic has my seal of approval
I think that depends on the race.
Some races live longer others live shorter.
Itâs hard to tell tbh.
We can see, for example Anduin.
From child in Vanilla to a scarred battle warrior in present days.
I would rather think our characters are: unknown adventurers.
Some people say they existed and were there in certain time events others donât know them at all.
Basically: immortal beings, that donât have: predetermined, physical form (because we can change our characters as we like) or name (that can change too).
They are only known by their class (we canât change that).
Cheers.
We are old, yes. Both in-game and in real life

You are only as old as your name, or how was the saying related that age is just a name or something like that

A lot of starter zone NPCs referred to my characters as âyoung {class}â⌠which never quite felt right and Iâm glad it faded out later on.
In terms of RP character age, I think the best answer is mine are all âyoung enough to be physically fit and old enough to know stuffâ.

Take that, humans! No losing your beauty after 30.
I am old enough to remember being super hyped by the WoW announcement and played since the vanilla stress tess beta when hunters werenât in the game yet. Unfortunately this means, as much as I loved this game over the years I am too old to play DF.
I think they made the classes way too complex with the return of talent trees with all the âcast spell A if spell B is on cooldown and you have the 2 stacks of the buff from spell C and you have this talent speccedâ. all while trying to dodge M+ or raid mechanics.
Too stressful for an aging gamer like me to keep up with anyway, and probably puts off most new players from the game too when you factor in all the addons and researching guides you need to play at a decent level in retail.
Unless something changes TWW will be the first ever WoW expansion I donât buy.
It is the inside where were all beautiful

As of WoW. Been playing it since 3 months after launch. I still play on my first character. Now having 5 kids, and it is nice to run dungeons with them.

All my characters are pretty yong. The oldest one is unholy dk I started in SL (my first char), then I made warlock but I stopped playing it because I donât like belfs anymore. So my recent characters are all just a season old
Well, letâs say a human right? How old can he be when he starts out in Northshire? At least 16 right? Now itâs been 19 years since the start of WoW, add that to his age and you have 35. And there has been a time leap of 5 years between SL and DF, I think? So that brings him to 40. That about it?
If I remember correctly, I made this character around late BC. She must be ancient by now.
im so old dont remember anymore if answered this post, im dinosauri old but my mental age is more like 5
Since I have the TRP addon installed, I tend to fill basic roleplaying biographic info for my characters (even though I havenât actually roleplayed in yeaaaars), so I give some thought into the age.
In case of elves for example I usually make them younger, so I donât have to make them direct witnesses of the Well of Eternity and other similar lore-defining moments. But young for elves is still centuries, so the decade between Cata and DF which I played this game with these characters would hardly age them significantly.
But characters in game do age; with Anduin being the most prominent example. But Blizzard of course doesnât follow on every NPC in the game which would deserve to be recognized and updated to their appropriate age (the son of Moira comes to mind, he should be a fine lad now already). And even the poor buggers in the Stormwind orphjanage are still children, even though I have seen them chilling there for the last ten years and now they should be old enough to fight and die for the glory of our Queen Cryduin.
if im going to count the in game time and the story of my characters family tree
i can say untill shadowlands my main character was 576 years old and when DF started he went to old dalaran city and living there as a retired paladin
but in the Dragonflight his son is young paladin.
if i count it in a real life time i can say the father is 13-14 years old and the new paladin is 1 month old maybe two
