HOW on earth do you get the tauren heritage armour?

Iv done the starting quests for nazatar and opened the heart forge.
Im 120 with exalted rep.

Yet no quest in org.

Wowhead says nothing on it. just a bunch of people arguing about lore.

You need to do the war campaign. I had a similar problem, I didn’t do the stormsong valley quests where you have a meeting with Sylvanas with other leaders which leads to Baine being imprisoned. After that, you need to do the saving Baine scenario. After that’s finished, you can start the heritage quest.

Do you need to do the war campaign on your Tauren or can it be completed on. another character that’s further ahead?

I don’t remember seeing anything about this, really wish it was made more obvious

I can pretty much guarantee without looking that it’ll have to be on this character.

It makes sense in regards to their leader being currently imprisoned.
But I believe I read somewhere that you can do it on any character, but I can’t say this for sure since I play alliance and gnomes have it a little easier.

Nah, I did it on my Undead priest. The actual heritage armour questline is for your tauren (the embassy quest after you finish the war campaign).

It can be done on any character. It would absurd to require it on a Tauren for all the Tauren alts out there. After doing Nazjatar intro you need to do dailies, to rise your follower to rank 2. Next day you rise it to rank 3 with another dailies. Then you unlock second chapter for Nazjatar. After that you get access to the newest chapter of war campaign, provided you are on a character that has done all previous chapters of war campaign.

It doesn’t even have to be Horde. I did it on my Worgen. And now my Tauren runs happy with a totem on his back.

So… if I complete the storyline related to baine, ect. with my alliance character, I can then do the tauren heritage questline on my tauren?

Just asking that i do NOT need to do entire warcampaing on a tauren (or horde) alt that I leveled and collected thunderbluff rep for the purpose of unlocking heritage armor?

You have to do it on a Tauren the heritage armor quest,and that tauren has to be exalted with Thunder Bluff.

The war campaign,scenario for baine and anything regarding nazjatar you can do on your main.

Rise Up and Stand Tall with New Tauren and Gnome Heritage Armor - WoW

Players with maximum-level (120) gnomes or tauren* who are Exalted with their faction (Gnomeregan or Thunder Bluff respectively) will be able to embark on a new quest line for each race to learn more about their history. Once you complete your quest, you’ll gain a new Heritage Armor transmogrification set unique to your race and be able to show off your pride.

*Players will also first need to complete the War Campaign quest Stay of Execution, on any character regardless of faction. Stay of Execution will be available shortly after the launch of Rise of Azshara.

I can confirm for anyone else that you do NOT need to do all the war campaign on your tauren.

I did the opening quests to Nazjatar and unlocked my heart forge.
I was 120 with exalted rep.
Then i finished the 8.2 war campaign on my paladin main.

This then unlocked the starting quest outside the building in which you recrute Allied races.

So relived i didn’t have to do all the war stuff on my tauren again… PHEW!
