I think she is probably slightly above her WotA version.
the Well is a pretty big boost.

this answer is easy, azshara.
because?
To keep things simple, the Zandalari, like all other trolls, and their entire pantheon, gave up and let Azshara do what she want 10.000 years ago, not seeing a chance anyway.
today? Hrmm, i think azshara got weaker, the old azshara with WOE was more powerfull then the azshara today.
Azshara was powerful enough to scare the living crap out of Mannoroth, basically making him theorize that only Archimonde and Kilâjaeden would be able to match her in power. Not saying that she is as powerful as Archimonde or Kilâjaeden, just that no one but these two in the Legion could overpower her.
I also think Malfurion and Azshara had a fairly equal fight with their respective magics which caused the Well of Eternity to explode⊠I can not remember the details here, I just remember Tyrande got struck, Malf got mad and he and Azshara then duked it out.
Azerite in both liquid and crystalized form is the blood of Azeroth
The Well of Eternity was a deep wound, filled with water and sorunded/stabilized by the Titanforged (or the titans themselves) - the word Kaldorei is a titanic word, and the Nightelves found these ruins when they were Dark Trolls
(That wound actually never healed and when the Well exploded, the Naga and Zin-Azsari just sunk deeper in to the said wound and established Nazjatar on the ruins and on top of that Wound)
So all and all, the Well was something controlled source of power, while Azerite is the raw stuff baby, without any refinement
Honestly Iâm a bit surprised the Naga never started collecting the stuff (on the other hand we know Azshara had 10K years to establish her underwater empire without any really opposition , maybe a few Sea giants here and there and the Naga Empire is HUGE. We encountered just a small fraction of the popolation⊠a bit like when we encountered the Legion, the main force was out the Great Dark doing their stuff, burning the universe and all - I think the most of the Naga collected what azerite they found - its logical, if on the dry land there were fissuers and Azerite erruptions, under the water wich covers most of Azeroth the situation was similarâŠ)
Azshara isnât the entire empire though.
this is Azshara alone compared to the Wild Gods.
Malfurion vs Azshara was retconned.
Oh, right.
Chronicles does say that Malfurion instead used the Dragon soul to hit all of the Highborne siding with the Legion, with the added intention of wanting to disrupt the magical alignment in the well to close off the portal.
This actually happened in the Reign of Chaos manual.
Originally, before the Frozen Throne retcon with the Naga, after Azshara was made aware by Illidan that the resistance was coming to destroy the Well of Eternity, she prepared a trap in which Tyrande fell into.
Seeing his beloved wounded, Malfurion killed Azshara in a fit of rage.
This was swiftly changed in The Frozen Throne when itâs revealed that Azshara actually went to the bottom of the sea and became empress over her Highborne turned snakes.

Azshara, having received Illidanâs warning, was more than prepared for them. Nearly all of Furionâs followers fell before the mad Queenâs raging powers. Tyrande, attempting to attack Azshara from behind, was caught off guard by the Queenâs high-borne guardsmen. Though she vanquished the guardsmen, Tyrande suffered grievous wounds at their hands. At seeing his love fall, Furion went into a murderous rage and resolved to end Azsharaâs life.
I noticed that Kakarott already pointed out it was retconned, but for the record, in the original Malfurion versus Azshara duel, Malfurion won.
Heâs just that awesome.
indeed he is.
Yeah, I remembered I had it from somewhere.
There is so much lore and retconned lore that I remember from old Warcraft manuals and the like.
I have to try even harder by remembering what was retconned etc.
Ugh!
I wish that stayed tbh.
I am kind of hoping, that in SL, more people like farondis would turn up, I would not be supriced if many dead chars now, come back to life, becuse we mess up big time whit the shadowlands in some way or the other, and things becomes an huge mess on azeroth, when people who should be dead, are back alive for one reason or the other, maby becuse we dropped a foul turnip on the maw or something who knows.

Farondis as much as we like him is long forgotten by Blizzard and he is cursed in undeath as in stuck on Azeroth as a spirit, he wonât be in SL.
Cenarius and Mannoroth were both defeated by Grommash (a mere orc) as a guy mentioned above. They are powerful indeed but the lore is really inconsistent in this situation. Mannoroth is the right hand of Archimonde, a pit lord, a very skilled fighter and magic user. Same goes for Cenarius in contrast with Grommash. Anyway i believe Wild Gods > WotA Azhara . Maybe now she is way stronger though.
Well, people are bringing retconned lore to the table but in terms of the current lore, Iâd say Azshara is probably in the level of Cenarius or the strongest Wild Gods.
She is immortal like they are, empowered by the void and completely dominates the arcane, so sheâs like a totally different kind of being. Also, her naga rivaled Neptulon for millenia, iâd say it is fair to assume sheâs in the top charts.
Still, maybe a well placed bullet in the head would kill her (or maybe not, perhaps she had a constant arcane veil or something). But for example, if a 5 year old shot Jaina in the head, sheâd die and sheâs much stronger than a 5 year old so it is relative, yes.

current lore has Cenarius on the level of Mannoroth.
