How Templates should've worked

Templates in Legion were basically Blizzard choosing everything for you: Your (secondary) stats, your gear score, your abilities etc.

How they should’ve actually implemented it: Templates scale everyone’s item level to 420, however for every 10 item level above 300 you gain 1% increased stats.
Your stats on your gear would stay the same, they would just be scaled to 420 ilvl plus the % from ilvl above 300 (as it was in Legion). This way, gear would be fairly equalized in PvP and you’d still be able to use the same gear in pve and pvp.

Also, in contrast to legion, you’d still be able to choose your stats and your trinket abilities yourself.

It would have been an even bigger melee sh@tfiesta than it was because melee DMG was scaling with weapon DMG and this would have been boosting their damage quite a bit compared to casters.
But nah ty, I’m not a fan of templates, since it’s an RPG and gear should matter on ladder games, but not on tournament realms.
I’d like to get back to cata/mop style with every item having atleast one gem slot and on top of that reforging.

So PvP vendors basically. I’d prefer that too but there’s absolutely no way that blizzard will admit their mistake and reintroduce good systems.

they recognize ther mistakes about azerithe gear , maybe with some luck they will admit it also for pvp vendor x)

That would be a smart change. Blizzard pvp devs will never do it.

imagine if pvp devs would enhance and improve pvp systems from earlier expacs than making new ones and also worse ones

That would be stupid tbh

You want WoD/MoP system or not? why exactly is this stupid, if these systems are getting enforced?

It was sarcasm, blizz probably thinks it would be stupid
