I hate that quote. The drawing software I use has a mirror function so if you draw one half it creates a mirror image, so stuff is perfectly symmetrical.
Drawing on paper you have to draw the other side exactly the same so it’s much harder and is never perfectly symmetrical.

That doesn’t disprove the quote though. If you were not good enough to draw symmetrically on paper, a bad artist would blame the pen and paper and say it’s not the software, and not themselfs for the lack of skill.

Most people aren’t good enough though, even artists lots would consider good. In basically all art. Even pro guitarists who make a shred legend like me look like a beginner use tuners to tune their guitars and DAW punch ins for their solos, they like a specific string gauge, pick, and various different features on their guitar.
Stop trying to start up drama.
The point is simple: people without skill will blame everything but themselves. Just like the OP whining that he can’t push 10s because he’s on a laptop.
So what? I’m on a laptop too (40-50 FPS), and I’m doing 10s on a 630 tank without issues.
Heck, back in SL, I did Spires of Ascension 10+ with 15 FPS.
I’m not trying to start drama. The whole point of tools is to make something easier or to give access to an ability one doesn’t have. It’s like if someone forgets to take a calculator to a maths test, unless they are a genius they are doomed.
OP’s laptop might actually be really, really bad. I did a key on a tablet once and it was terrible.

You still need the skill to actually use the tool properly.
You can get the most diamond adorned, gold plated, best quality ever made on Earth…yet it wont help you much if you dont even know how to hold it right… let alone use it.

To be fair everything depends on context. I just really hate that cliché. Sometimes it’s the tools fault sometimes it isn’t. I don’t deal in absolutes.
Plus the opposite of the cliché is true. When stuff goes good people take all the credit and say it’s entirely their own skill.

One the one hand, well played. On the other, thats not the whole story is it? Even though you were 632 in one of the dungeons the average group ilevel was 653 and you had a 657 healer to carry you.
Well its more of a saying. Trying to literally apply it to a specific and unique situation and there will always be exceptions.
Its the wise saying that humans will always tend to blame external factors(weather, tools, neighbors dog, traffic, car, coffee machine…whatever) than to plainly man up and admit that its your fault and you take responsibility.
“Carry” yeah sure, if you are bad at tanking there is no heal nor DPS that can carry you. 
Oh absolutely, lots of people cannot take responsibility for their actions. If I mess up I immediately admit it. That way I avoid having to waste time making excuses or arguing. It’s also pointless trying to get people who cannot take responsibility to take responsibility.
It’s like when I mess up trying to Battle Res someone I don’t say “It’s the Hunter’s fault for dying, I was distracted trying to res them!” I just say “mb”.
I already have a highlight reel that’s too long to watch that proves otherwise.

I use an airbrush from time to time.
Does that make me a bad painter? No, I use the tools available to me.
And there is a huge difference in brushes and airbrushed regaring brands and quality. And that shows in my work. So skill combined with materials make the product. Not skill alone, as OP is claiming.

Actually dont, cba with this thread anyways. It was just cringe how OP claims to be the best tank to ever exist, and yet keeps mumbling on why they cannot time 10 in week 4 of the season.
