How to actually push keys

So, it has come to my attention that people are inviting players to their groups and then failing to time said key. So, the question is - how do one avoid this? Well, it is easy. First of all, never join someone else’s key. I say this from experience, as I’m currently rank 4 S2 Brewmaster monk on a highly populated realm - and people have whispered me why they are not getting invited to my group. The answer is, your parses. I do not look at your rio.
Anyways, if you truly want to push keys, the best tip is that you push your own key.

When inviting people, you can check them up using warcraftlogs. In terms of parses for this season, you want it to be purple - and if not, do not consider inviting that player. Blue parses is mid for mythic, and this means that they are doing things wrong; which, in turn, means that they will do things wrong in your key as well. And the last thing you want is a liability. You see, people have this misconception that just because they’ve done a +13 once, last season, or because their RIO is “decent,” they are automatically qualified to be in your group. This is false. And I have seen this, and therefore I can speak from experience.

Let’s be clear: parses do not lie. They tell you exactly what kind of player you’re dealing with. A purple or higher parse means someone actually understands their class, their rotation, and their role. A blue parse? That’s someone who thinks they know, but doesn’t. In terms of raiding blue parses are ok for lower item levels. Also - although I like Brewmasters; everyone cant play Brewmaster. Therefore, make sure to actually look the tank up before inviting. Although I can say that brews feel different this season, they are stronger - better and damage control is much better. However, this requires great attention, which I have - which others do not.

Also, consider not inviting Warlock, Demon Hunters or Outlaw Rogue at lower keys, trust me. If you do though, observe, see and reflect and then come back to this thread and notice that I was right. Outlaw Rogue is great for higher keys though when it comes to aoe damage, same with DH. Destruction Warlock have great ST damage: Just dont invite them at lower keys.

Also, make sure to check their achievements. Last season there was a [Let me Solo him] achievement from soloing Zekvir. This means that the player fully knows the game, their class, other MMO and any other mechanics that might come in the future

Season just started, it’s normal for people to fail a bit !

I’m not sure a “how to” from somebody that couldn’t time a 12 in season 1 is appropriate.

More like a “how not to”.

Yes and no, before you could practise daily, now we got a weekly reset. It’s 2 days out, and people start complaining…then you expect too much, a few weeks into a Season, different story imo !

TBF mechanics you can ignore in m0 are deadly in high keys

Ok. That made chuckle…

Yes. I am a simple human. I will be going now. :door: :walking_man:

Also some other tips if you are not at 640 or higher yet:
-The first 2 weekly quests (Blue) gives decent gear.
-Gear up through M0 (OR DELVES) - do not destroy other peoples keys because you want to gear up, yet you dont ahve the damage, knowledge, rio, item level, experience or any trinkets that can be of benefit for that key.
-Gear up through LFR or Normal raid (requires you to read and understand mechanics though, so idk if you can get to that level).
-Push your own key that you recieved from M0.
-Watch some guides before advancing to higher keys or stay at M0 / Heroic.
-Anything lower than +6 is considered as casual
-If you recieved [Let me solo him] during Season 1, you can do all of these things and more. If you didn’t - learn to play the game first.

Are you arguing with yourself now?

You may say that, but the actual question is - do you have Delver’s Dirigible (Void)?

What makes you think I even remotely want that ugly purple looking thing?

idk players are always bad, we were invited to a +8

the host of the key at a level of +8 did not know what to do with mechanics on last boss of rookery despite theres almost no mechanics for ranged dps on that fight bar breaking the pillar…

we told him what to do, he still didnt get it. despite there was literally almost nothing he had responsibility of bar making sure he helps us break all the pillars. Morale of the story is, some people cannot be helped or saved. Its just a matter of pruning them out the good old fashion way of background checking their previous patches performance through RIO / WC logs

Tips for people who really want to understand things is simple : (not getting paid for it!!!)

Watch Quazzi Wow dungeon guides!

What I did was : start them on HCs (still in that process, since I always take my time, I don’t need to rush things and complain the reason takes so long…) , watch 1 of his, or someone else’s guide, do it on M0, repeat this 8 times and slowly start doing some/your M+2s !

Good point Miss Holy pointy Ear  . I also do recommend that, sadly coffer keys resettled lol (at least make them warbound Blizz  )

You get 1 free key and then normal 4 from world content

I am aware, but thank you for the reminder  . Yeah I need to check for WQs, I usually do the ones with valorstones (when out), gold and coffer keys pieces (or at least 3 when there’s a special).

I now even did the new story line 4 times for valor stones :).
