How to add players to battle net?

How do I find out other players’ battle net ID to add as friends (like ones you’ve had good m+ runs)?
Are they supposed to appear in “Recently played with” tab on Battle.net? Because it always shows 0. I’ve had two people add me on battle.net directly after an m+ and can’t figure out how they did it

When you right click their portrait under ‘Add Friend’ it should split into two options.
