I roll all my characters in high pop toons, I’ve tried to do the sparks quest with my Silvermoon character, get put in dead shards. Ok np, I swapped to my Shaman which is in Tarren Mill, again, no one around.
If I wanted to play in dead shards, I’d roll in a low pop server, can someone explain to me how does it work and how can I avoid it?
That’s useful thank you. So for example, this week Sparks is in waking shores, if I go and do the Obsidian Citadel (Wrathion/Sabellian) quests that want me to kill rares and stuff I get sparks at the same time as doing those rep grinds?
I’m going to give up on PvP during the day, I’m just trying to chill and do this quest so I can queue arenas in the evenings.
There are daily rares and there are rare elites and the rares you kill once.
The ones that you kill only 1 time do not drop sparks
However the ones that reset daily will drop sparks
I’m not 100% sure about the rare elites ones in obsidian citadel to be completely honest.
However,
The world quest to choose loyalty and get the first key will grant you sparks.
I usually sweep all world quests in a zone and hunt down rares and dirts/bags
Go buy a shovel from AH or Expedition camp and you’ll be done in no time
Each scout’s bag/dirt has 5 sparks
Each regular world quest rewards 10 sparks
Pvp world quests 25 sparks
I realise you want to PVP but I used to play in WM on when farming was tied to our power gain and I would always be in mixed groups from various realms in the shards. Once I went back to the peace and tranquility of WM off I found I saw loads of players from my own realm and it generally just feels better (for me).
Wm off shards are easier because they are pure load balancing. WM on shards also try to have some kind of faction balancing that is constantly thrown out of whack by people inviting to their shard or hopping to others.
However even on WM off I have been throw into a completely new shard with no one there. I’m on a busy realm so one day when I was thrown into a fresh ZM shard and every rare was up it was crazy. I had to list groups purely to get people into my shard to be able to kill them.
Back in BfA we regularly joined groups to complete the weekly kill players for x quest. I imagine they still exist now. Any chance they would let you see more pvp action?
Yes I make my own groups all the time for World PvP and RBGs, the only problem is, if my shard is dead for some reason, the group I make is dead too, so what happens sometimes is someone in the party will say, my shard is busy, let’s remake the group and pass me leader.
And that works but it’s awkward and not everyone wants to be leader. I was just wondering if people know a trick to avoid these dead shards :))
Its opposite for me. I am on a low pop server and i wanta dead shard for farming stuff or the community feast. Yet i always see people from bigger servers like tarren mill and silvermoon. Please stop and let me enjoy the up sides of a small pop server.
I dont want to get 1 task per 5 minutes for the community feast due to too many people being there. Or multiboxx bots stealing all the nodes causing them to despawn when i ty to gather it
Hahaha, even before I looked at your character I thought “lol this guy sounds like such a grumpy old man” and then I looked at your name and character, bravo sir :D:D
First of all. Realm status means nothing on retail. High populated realm doesnt mean that at this moment there is high amounth of players playing on this realm. It used to show back in classic versions then Blizzard made change. It nowdaxys rather reflect amounth of created charactes by players on certain realm to give you certain idea of how potencialy populated this realmis than actual activity of players.
