How to break the "go go go" mentality of WoW?

As I said in my previous post about gearing.

one way would be to first of all drop Mythic keys back to 15 for highest item level as it was, it would drop a lot of problems already, then just make it so you can uppgrade everything to max level, albeit lower ilvl gear would need more stuff to uppgrade, but at same time make it so you can get the items to uppgrade with from every source there is, be it dailies, mobs, dungeons and raids any place you can get stuff from.

it would make them game enjoyable for everyone, and none would feel like they have to do those high end mythic keys at all, Mythic keys over lvl 15 would become prestige with the chance to drop other tokens that you can buy transmogs, mounts, pets, and even tokens to uppgrade with, and probably other stuff people can come up with that could be bought hehe.

it could even drop maxed out gear so you do not need to uppgrade them, heck they could even have different colors from the normal gears that drop, it would make people go for it still for sure, but it would also remove those who only do it for gear to some extent what most likely would lower the toxic behaviour there is now.

seeing how you support peopel doing 30k in +18 , have completly nothing against it and being completly boosted tell a lot how you got to that KSH

and i will use it 50 more times in every single discussion where players cry that nobody wants to boost them in m+ for free and that blizz should force people into doing so.

because its example that perfectly illustrates the issue that those people have with m+ .

i perform like garbage on some chars too like on my rogue - thats why i do like 13/14 on them on my own keys not +18 . and if people leave i dont pretend i dont know exactly why they left . because i see the numbers im doing and am well aware of everything.

Maybe you have a point there, but I was thinking of IRL-age.
I confused it by adding “achievement” with quotes. Thinking the “achievement” of getting older maybe is not so much our own achievement as somebody else’s (e.g. the gift of Gd).

I was thinking that just reflecting on the “go go go” mentality may indicate being older rather than younger. As a younger person wants/needs to get to the “goal” fast to se what it is, -to experience it. While an older guy who have reached this goal, maybe even several times, knows that it is not so exciting/wonderful as it seemed. Maybe he instead starts thinking that the journey itself is worth more than he first thought.

I do mythic+ with friends and guildies most evenings. We enjoy ourselves, have a laugh on discord… nothing toxic about that at all. If you find M+ is ‘forcing’ you to be toxic, maybe you need to take a look at yourself.

Really? Did I miss the contest for the fastest mythic Sarkareth kill?

That’s because most people that complain about M+ label everything as toxic. You don’t invited to keys, well tahats toxic, someone leaves your key because you are doing laughably low dps, obviously toxic, someone doesn’t give you their gear at the end of their run- toxic.

How about you play with like minded players OP?

If your idea has merit there should be loads of them around to group up with.

Let us know how that experiment goes. (This pre-supposes you actually doing something other than crying about things, but I’m an optimist!)

I never said doing that little damage was ok but sure lets go with personal attacks

Except most reasonable people arent asking to be boosted. They asking for minor mistakes not to kill keys you people just go for extreme examples when most of us are talking real world examples

Obviously I am speaking for my experience, but in the runs I have been in minor mistakes like dying a few times or missing an interrupt or something of that sorts is generally forgiven. It’s stuff like no one is dealing with the affix (repeatedly), very low through put, tanks not knowing the routes (most common example of this would be pulling the mobs to the chain locations in Nelth) that make people leave. And the things I listed aren’t that uncommon and there are a lot of players that do not perform their RIO score suggests (boosted one way or the other). When I list a +20 for example I primarily look if the person signing up has timed the listed dungeon on a 20 or around that (probably will go as low a timed 18 if desperate), these players are usually somewhere between 2500-2600 score (I was told in another tread that this too low for +20 and I am starting to think they are right), maybe 1 in 4 runs I will encounter a person with very low throughput (under 50k overall) a bad tank or a bad healer. 25% (again in my experience) to encounter a low performer is lot, and if lets say we made auto-queues for M+ or no-timer runs you will see a lot more underperformers on that level. You previously agreed with me that it isn’t fun to boost someone for free, the people Liliith is referencing are not uncommon and will skyrocket even more the easier it becomes to get boosted.

I think it isn’t even necessarily only people who’d consciously choose to do this, but quite a few who are convinced they are better players than they factually are. This has been a common theme for as long as I’ve played mmorpg’s, with some people clearly having blind spots regarding things they don’t have a proper grasp on and blaming others when things don’t work out because of it.

They often have a habit of trying to skip content they deem themselves too good for, to quickly end up in the content where they should be according to their interpretation of their skill level. I think with a M+ queue and the amount of boosting available it could get intensely frustrating.

Hey you guys, I dont know why everyone is complaining about a potential nuclear war. Myself and my friends and family just hide in our nuclear bunker…we have a laugh and giggles because the radiation cant touch us. Maybe you guys are the problems, build a nuclear bunker you guys cmon stop qq.

He has KSM though. He has done some M+, but clearly not on this character. But i will say this, there seems to be trend with the people complaining about “the toxicity of M+” and lets say a particular service that other players offer.

but for reals if someone overpulls just let them die, or go invis or feign death.
