in the past week or so I keep noticing a lvl1 char endlessly camping the EU auction house spamming R3 Obsidian Seared Alloys. I have chars on both side so I was able to hop on to their server and report them and get them banned - comfirmation mail from Blizz came and said it was an actual cheater.
Needless to say, within an hour the guy was online on a brand new char, doing the same thing. So I reported again. Did this 4 times. Each time I had to wait multiple days until the character was removed. Now he’s on the 5th.
My questions:
Cant Blizz see to which account the gold is being sent from these chars? Why does one have to chase every new account they make?
His latest char is in Ogrimmar. I made 2 lvl1 chars and parked them at the 2 AHs Ogrimmar has. But I still cant see the guy. And you cant report botting unless you can click on the actual character. Right-clicking the friend list name only allows for ‘inappropriate name’…
You can easily check whether someone you reported got banned unless you mass report everyone and everything.
They tell you they have taken action. Just not what kind of action. Riot does the same. They wont tell you whether that player got silenced or banned or whatever.
Nope. Undercut or cancel/repost bot. Every 20-30 sec it posts 25-50 items. All day, never moves an inch, lvl1 char, full basic starter gear, etc. These arent directly proving anything, just a suspicion. But all of them and their auctions were removed from the game so my guesses should be more or less on point.
Problem is not with lvl 1. My bank alt is also lvl 1. Behaviour of the character is what we are talking about. And - as I stated above - 4 consecutive bans from blizz most likely prove me right. This was not a question.
I am trying to avoid having to chase this guy down from server to server. Thats my issue.
About 4 months ago, same thing was going on with R3 Fierce armor kits. (Only rank 3 items are quite suspicious in themselves. No one could afford the loss of not trying to sell your rank 2 stuff that is unavoidably generated when crafting for rank 3s. UNLESS you got them for free. So its probably farming botting and AH botting in a tandem.) I reported those too, and none of them came back online ever since. (Yes, I still have them on my friends list…)
Yeah, all of them quit for some strange reason right after my reporting, and all of them decided to never come back. Together with the Fierce Armor Kit cases that must be something like 12 people. My mind is quite powerful when it comes to influencing others’ behaviour… or!
