How to change my gear?

Hello all,

This is not a question because I exactly know how to do that.

I mean, I have 2 specs and therefore 2 sets. If I switch between talents I have to dress up everything manually. I tried to write a macro to click button 1 and 2 (mouse) but it’s limited to 255 characters.

So the question is why do we have to do it in so uncomfortable way? We have 2022 year and a lot of experience how to fit the UI to our needs.

Outfitter addon works great.

Use the equipment manager, just enable it in the interface settings. Or use Outfitter addon.

Theres equipment manager now in settings (right next to talent previews)

I used to have itemrack addon, which is basically equip manager for TBC

You are talking about WOTLK? Still cannot find it.

esc - interface - features

It adds small helmet/sword icon to your character sheet (c) and when you click on it, it allows you to create equip presets

Ok, Blizzard just has hidden it up.

Fully satisfied with this option. Thank you!

Im not sure why it’s defaulted to off or why it’s hidden in such a way

It was done this way back in original WotLK as well.

My personal guess is since most people already use some form of equipment manager (Itemrack, Outfitter, Wardrobe etc), they would probably cause problems for many people, so easiest solution was to leave it disabled as default.

Ah alright, though it kind of seems like a situation where it was added because of the addon being so good, like the quest tracking that was added
