My question is that, do you know what does the stat weight exactly mean?
I mean if I know, my raid stats weight should be for example: crit > vers > haste > mastery, then how can I check the current stats which are coming from my current items.
I can see the data (with addon more data of course) on the charater page in the game, but there the percentages are not absolut, for example, my the crit is 25% but the mastery is 72% and this does not mean the mastery is more in my understanding.
But then how can I calculate these numbers what I should use, when Im thinking in the weight of my stats.
My idea I can use those percentages which appear on the chat stat page on mouse hover, but for exampl the mastery is to big in this way too.
so how can I check the current stats weight of me?? How do you do this?
Its good only for dps. And it does not show the current weights I think. For sure it shows only crit, haste and versatility for me
And Im not sure it shows the current stat or the what you need.
Put simply. Stat weights are a relative representation of the value of each stat. For dps they are usually presented one of two ways.
The first is raw. This is literally the just the amount of dps gaining 1 more of any stat would give you.
The second is normalised. This is the same as raw, in that plugging into pawn as a dps would give the same result, but the values are all divided by the value of your primary stat. This makes all the numbers smaller, and more comparable across different sims and characters, but keeps the ratios the same. Easily recognisable because the primary stat will be valued at 1.
Healers do not use sims or stat weights in the conventional sense that dps do. I am not a healer so I can’t really help further than that. I can say you shouldn’t be using sims to try and estimate the value of your stats as a healer.
I suggest checking out the monk discord peakofserenity and asking there.
Thanks.
Yep I will try the discord too.
It’s a bit interesting, there is no content for this on the net (at least I didnt found) but the healer weights are written down on every big sites
Cuz there is a prio for healers and tanks, some want more vers, other more haste, basicly u stack your main off stat to the point u are comfortable.
Now with dps its kinda different, u have some main stats, but at some point something else might be good, thats what statweights and simulations are for.
If u are new to this, ill sugest you to download “pawn” addon, via this addon u can generate a string copy paste it to wowsims or raidbots web page and then result back to pawn, not at every new item u will have % display of upgrade /downgrade. BUT!! Every time you get new item u will need to sim yourself again for correct stats.
Also it doesnt work for frinkets, azerite traits, and on use/equip effects, just raw stats
But yeah, it’s mainly valuable for DPS. In my case, since I am warlock, I usually run it 2-3 times. I run raidbots sim for stat weight, then i import stat weights into pawn addon and then I change gear and then I run it again and like that 2-3 times. Usually it stabilizes after 2-3 runs.
