I’ve been playing sporadically for almost 15 years now, and just started again about 2 weeks ago after a 6 month-pause. I’ve never been removed from an instance group in 15 years, now it happened to me 4 times in the past 2 weeks. What the heck is going on?? Since when WoW is no longer fun to play with other players? Players jsut chaining dungeons, going straight for the last boss, aggro like addicts looking for a shot and then blaming you for not keeping up while you’re just trying to loot the dead pngs…
Blizzard gotta do something about this “kick out of group” feature, it’s really ruining the spirit of the game. Or maybe my next pause should just be indefinite…
There’s already 300 topics about this,
It’s working as intended
There is always a reason if three or four other players don’t want someone in the group. There may be a handful of trolls that kick people for fun, but I am convinced that this isn’t responsible for the vast majority of votekicks.
Anyway, this issue will be less pronounced after Wednesday when more performance-oriented players move on to M0 and delves. A longer term solution is to play with friends or join some of the Discord communities.
Just don’t play content you can be kicked from. m0 and Delves drop better gear than Heroic dungeons and you can be group leader so no one can kick you.
So why are you being removed, this isn’t coming out of nowhere?
Learning to play your role and your class would be great start.
From my experience there is always a reason .
What is issue, the reason doesnt show for kicked person ( iirc) this could help imo so the kicked person is at least aware of issue
Grow up, act like an adult and get a guild.
While leveling ppl were vote kicking for silly reasons such as (slow, new, noob, bad gear) even tho i click no he/she ends up removed.
It sux so much,iv been kicked in the past when i started this game i often whisper them to not take it personally.
Consider Follower Dungeons if you’re not doing HC or M’s and so on.
One of the following is happening:
- You’re far behind the group looting or skinning mobs
- You’re tanking and moving at a glacial pace
- You’re DPSing and below the healer on the meter
- You’re yapping too much
For the record, i’ve been kicked twice in 14 years and i’m a player who holds W, never looks up strats, never looks up routes, pulls extra packs intentionally because I like aoeing and will not move bosses out of fire if i think the healer can handle healing the DPS, so i’m in awe wondering what you’ve been up to to get 4 kicks in 2 weeks - that is damn impressive.
OP: It seems to be happening quite alot at the moment
My experience (cata classic) is it can be pretty random, not sure if it’s worse at the start of an expansion.
Some times people will kick for reasons like someone is slow/afk etc but I have seen several kicks before I gave up on Cata classic at points in the dungeon where it was clear someone didn’t want loot competition and they have managed to get a kick to go through.
It got to the stage for me where I was leaving groups after someone else had been randomly kicked for no reason and me clicking no had zero effect.
For some reason I loose all my “team spirit” at that point, might as well be running with a pack of wild animals.
Me too, are we a rare breed? ![]()
i’ve split my head open twice, how about you?
I have felt like bashing my head against the keyboard a few times but have managed to restrain myself…so far.
Take no notice to the other oxygen stealers in the comments they’re part of the problem and most likely the toxic ones who participate in this bad game behavior, unfortunately you have friends joining RDF together and know that they control the majority so any slight niggle and they’ll kick just for the satisfaction of having that control over your fun. These scum in the comments saying get in a guild are just classic wow andy idiots who really uses guilds in retail… nobody no need for them. and the rest saying there’s a reason for it are most likely the selfish idiots who also do it. Hopefully this will come to blizzards attention and they will start punishing those who r harassing and taking away other players enjoyment by abusing the system
Shut it u classic andy
I just shrug and move on. There’s nothing to me worth ‘dealing’ with.
The reason is simple. Heroic Dungeons are so easy to do people YoLo them. In addition, people want to finish them quickly because you need a TON of crests to upgrade your gear.
Think of it this way : you have 4 people in that dungeon that have been doing the same dungeon 120 times non stop for the past 3 weeks because there is nothing else to do…
Its a combination of people wanting to be ready for the season, AND delaying the season for 1 week. So if you are not in the same “lets finish this dungeon in 5 minutes” mentality you will get kicked.
Fortunately for you, this problem will go away with the new season. M+ is something totally different.
I shrug my shoulders, say it wasn’t meant to be, and then I go alt hop or go do world quests or look for gathering materials until the timer goes down. I’ve been lucky though: I die, a lot, sometimes due to shady Neurubian webs that have holes in the middle of them. I’ve fallen off the Dawnbreaker. I’ve ran headfirst into something I wasn’t aware I could aggro. And not once have I been kicked.
I also tend to dance when NPCs go into monologues or when we’re waiting for someone to come back. I sometimes chat to the wind about how cute the NPC is, especially Skitter, and I still don’t get kicked.
So, I guess I just have good luck or people like me for the goofy stuff I do.
I’ve never played classic.
