How to deal with rogues?

So im trying my damnest to get into warrior pvp, but it seems incredibly fragile.
For one, Die by the sword does not work. I used it against a rogue, who was able to cheapshot past it with no issue, dispite using it from in front of me. Cheap shot, Ambush for 40% of my hp, eviscerate the remaining 60% and within a single stunlock, dead. Trinket is useless and doesn’t do much since there does not appear to be a diminishing return on stuns anymore.

Im really easily kited around and get practicly 2shot by any rogue, they seem Incredibly overpowered. A class with no downsides, is there any way to deal with them? sure doesn’t seem like there is :\

there is, but i cant tell you, too many rogues here, they die every time to that

Cheap Shot always somehow had the capacity to ignore dodge, parry and blocks. It’s like Overpower except it stuns.

As warrior you have the easiest time with ret against rogues.

as long as you are in def stance and pressing 123 you cant loose vs rogue

You can’t parry dodge or block from behind. Any good rogue will shadow step evasion / DbtS and then kidney / CS you. Negating the full defensive. Track shadow steps or immediately fear if they SStep you during parry.

Yea you just can’t deal with them unless massively overgeared or have skills of gladiator rating

Unless they changed it, back when I played rogue cheap shot could be dodged/parried. Same as Kidney Shot, however any good rogue will try to do these abilities from behind.

Because it nullifies any dodge/parry. Often paired with shadowstep but depending on the situation it can be a waste.

Are you not using the Defensive Stance talent? You won’t kill any other class without it most of the time.

I think the problem is that like every character right now, cannot survive rogues in the opener if you don’t have the same ilvl as the rogue.
He is ilvl 201.
If you play against 220+ rogues, they just delete you in the opener even through dbts.

If you both are 226 ilvl and are not in a 1on1 scenario, a warrior mostly craps on rogues with unrelenting pressure. Due to the HP and vers you have with high gear, a rogue can usually not delete you in a single stun making it easy for the healer to heal you up.

so yea basically its a gearing issue or how our game director would say “git gud”

Doesnt this apply to literally any class? Maybe except lock and sp, where their toolkit and a single school of magic allow them to be controlled and somewhat outplayed to a certain point.

Most classes can survive can survive the opener of a rogue if the trinket + def cd, BUT in a vacuum, the rogue will just reset instantly and just kill you about 25s later.

Shadow priest certainly have the best time against rogues as they have 2 low cd defensives. (just from opening point of view, later shadow is not exactly fun against rogues either).

So if you have no trinket and/or play a class that cannot use a defensive in a stun, you are 100% dead in the opener if the rogue outgears you, he doesn’t even need blades for it.
My shaman (206 ilvl 23% vers) dies with wall in the opener if rogue uses blades and I trinket CS to wall.
I guess most classes will survive with 30% if they are the same ilvl and rogue don’t open with blades.

Without the gear gaps it wouldn’t feel so terrible, but that goes also for convoke, rets, and all the other shenannigans that delete you instantly with 200 gear if your opponent got 226 gear.

another issue is that rogues don’t have a hard time resetting the fight and Master Assa makes their restealthes just so deadly. At one point you definitely have not trinket

If you mean every class dies in the opener to rogues, then yes that is basically correct.
If you mean other classes can kill you in the opener when outgeared, then I guess that would be rets, convokers, ww
