I know that people can dismount me from my flying mount.
Do they have to be on the ground? Is it safe to leave my character flying high?
Do they have to dismount me when they are on the ground or they can still do when they are also flying?
What are the ranges for dismounting someone? still 40 yards?

They can fly up to you, dismount from their mount and attack you while falling but I don’t think they can get you off your mount so should be safe to leave your character high up, unless they repeat their action several times and eventually kill you (if they can avoid death from falling to the ground).
The item called is Net-o-Matic 5000 and it has a 100 yard range, 3 second cast and 10 second cooldown.
As Destruktio mentioned, the Net-o-Matic 5000 can be used to dismount at a 100 yard range, although since it has a cast time can’t be used while falling. Leaving your character quite high should be fine, although if you’re ever worried you can always turn off war mode while not wanting to engage in PvP combat!
okay so they can not be flying as well then. Right?
Just fly high so noone can see you. Only few people have that high end graphics card which can render that much of distance.
Net o matic 5000 only few bored people really care about.
Your levitate spell kinda handy if that works - when someone use net o matic on you.
I think being able to leave you at a high elevation and know that you will find you at the same place is not a bad thing.
