How to do Ara Kara last boss in mythic as resto shaman?

Thunderous paws doesn’t free me of the root, capacitor totem has a 50+ sec cd, so I can use it once basically, I can’t damage the root mob, because I need to be north of 800k hps at all times due to constant party-wide damage.

I am open to all the advice I can get.

Thanks in advance

Doesn’t thunderstorm work on it?

Our party spent almost an hour dealing with that boss (because of some random stuff like pools disappear right before you want to enter them or web gets you while you are rooted with no chance to dodge).
And yes, we had resto shaman. So for shaman, you use capacitor totem+totemic recall to lower it’s cd. If totem was not available for some reason - one of our range dps would focus shaman’s mob first to save the healer

Yup it does. So would the stun totem^^

Use [Gust of Wind] at the right time when the boss pulls you. It works 100% of the time for me. Save your capacitor totem for your party members.

Try speccing root totem, Lasso…

Gust of Wind is a life savior, perfect for knockback moments !

U can also take lightning lasso. I always take it and can remove roots after cast

thunderstorm should work as well

shaman has the most ways to get out of it actually

Since there is no other cast to interupt in that fight, you can just use wind shear on the small blob every time to get out of the root (or like mentioned before: any sort of displacement, stun, etc.)

Is that a bug or what? I faced this issue 2 times!

Thuderstorm works. And the CD is short enough to be able to use it on every one of them.

Cap totem should be saved for when you accidentally step on one and need to save Thunderstorm for when the boss pulls you.

ALSO…

If you time Gust of Wind just right and perfect, you don’t even need to sit on a puddle. But that is living life the risky way. For those that like it …

I’m confused about this post because shaman has the shortest interrupt ever and that’s all it takes to get out

It seems like post was written before blizzard makes those roots interruptible
