How to do quotes in these forums ?

So , yeah, I cant make quotes work in these forums. When I press it I see Blockquote appear and stuff I dont understand. Its about quoting previous post(s) in threads.

Someone can educate me ?

Highlight the text you want, click on the quote box that appears and that’s it.

If you don’t know how to highlight it, you hold the left button and move the mouse over it.

Mark/Highlight ? Id use the word “mark” for this, but Im not a native of the English language.

I’ve done and run many computer courses in my time since 1989 and have been always told it’s called highlighting in English, like using a highlighting pen in Dayglow yellow.
