I want to start raiding, but when i search for groups I click the sign up button and get accepted I don’t get moved to the location, as the normal dungeon finder does.
What am I missing here, is it normal to go to a specific location and enter the raid trough a portal like the old days?
You only get ported to the raid if you queue via LFR.
If you sign up to normal or higher, then yes you either need to be summoned or you need to make your own way to the raid entrance

I think it was by accident yes 
When using premade groups you have to physically go to the location for dungeons and raids.
Nyaloths entrance swaps between uldum and vale of eternal blossoms depending on where the nzoth assalt is.
