how to filter boosters in trade chat?
Badboy do an addon and plug in and then you set up keywords to filter out

They are available on curse or whatever addon manager you are using .
*edit - I’ve just noticed the original topic was edited to remove keywords, so you’ll just have to keep adding words until the ads stop

what words should i use?
Use the words you usually see in trade, things like, boost, boosting, boosters, I would also suggest going for things like the names of regular advertising communities, things like Nova, Oblivion etc.

if i used pvp or arena or torghast words; will filter normal text chats too?

I used to use BadBoy, but got tired of adjusting my filters from time to time, so I switched to SR13 instead, as it does the same thing with someone else writing the filters (and better ones than mine) for me.

i can tell you one thing i happen to know this Nova person IRL who own the boosting company idk why peoples hates boosters now days so muth …
Because they ruined trade chat which nobody, in their right mind, uses today.
Because they inconvenience the majority of players that PAY for this game by filling the raid, Torghast, Legacy Raid and M+ que’s with dozens of ads sometimes stacked 5-8 deep at a time with multiple such sections in one search.
I am paying for this game with real life cash and i am being shafted by greedy, feckless, dev’s who only care about the bottom line.
The dev’s even went as far as to make addon use to filter these people IMPOSSIBLE since the group names are hashed/salted. So they want you to see those ads. They want this.
I cant continue to support such a company so my time in wow is now coming to and end. They only understand one thing. Cash. They wont get mine anymore.

Trade chat or any other chat in general are useless since forever in this game.
The best thing to do is:
/leave general
/leave trade
/leave localdefense
Use group finder toll instead, if you’re looking for groups.

Addons are not written by Blizzard, they are mostly players with skills in this area.
It’s the developers who made it impossible to write such an addon tho, which is what Zcerlise was trying to say.
I do love a good conspiracy theory.
Personally I’ve seen no point in even trying to filter out boosters from the channel. Seems a bit of a pointless exercise when the bulk of the player base either sees the spam or just hides/leaves the channel.
I turn it off. There’s no need of it.
The person in question was talking about the group finder tool, though, which is something quite a lot of players do use. As it happens, it was possible to filter group names there via addons at some point, but that was removed, and is no longer possible.
I do not think it was removed because developers want us to see the ads there, but it remains a fact that addons can’t filter on group names in the LFD tool, and that’s a developer decision.
Of course people use the group finder, I have never implied otherwise. This topic is about trade, and not group finder.
If you’ve ever read any post I have made about the group finder, I have been a long time advocate for harsh punishments for breaking the rules and posting in the group finder. I even got a blue response when I highlighted the issues surrounding the number of people blatently flouting the rules.
i did /leave 2 already like 2 years ago so idk the situation of boost sellers on /trade 
I have my trade chat in a separate tab, I rarely need to look at trade, mostly only in relation to discussions on the forums.
It was just used as another chat channel really. So I don’t really see it as any great loss. I appreciate that others feel differently.

What i am seeing now is people making que’s as placeholders for raids at some later specified time, Guild recruitment ads as well as all the other WTS ads.
Most of the time on my realm the WTS ads, guild recruitment ads and the placeholders take up %50 of all que’s.
This is really getting out of hand now.
