I’m looking to change my hunter form a really high populated server to the lowest populated server eu can offer, i mainly use him for old conten, rare mobs farming with mount drops and spirit beast farming, and i would like to have the least competition available to it, how can you find such a server with the lowest population on it’s own with also not other high populated servers linked with it?

All dead realms are connected
Your best bet is to go through https://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/eu/lang.en and take the realm with the least amount of raiding guilds. That’s usually an indicator for the realm being dead.
With sharding though you’re put into shards with people from other realms, so I’m not sure that being on a low pop realm would mean that it would be easier to farm rare spawns?
yeah, especially with all those people “selling” rares and tlpd n stuff. they got characters on almost every realm.
None. With crz and bot campers selling rare pets mounts for gold u won’t get any quiet server
Maybe try a lower pop RP-Server?
No idea how many there are, but since they don’t get sharded it might be worth a try.
It may possibly be quiet in the realms of different countries, Spanish and Italian have far fewer realms to merge between and French have many low pop RP realms.
Really I wouldn’t heavily focus on it as it would be impacting other forms of gameplay, you could still pop between different realms with the grouping system and willing players to help or second account.
Just so you know, italian servers are crz with english ones, stay away from those!

Any low realm you transfer from that list is part of a bigger cross-realm or whatever they call it.
I’ve spent around 200£ switching and transfering on different realms. Doesn’t matter which realm you go, you are always connected with a bigger realm. So for example when i switched to Auchindoun realm, which according to that list has a total of 5k players (including the connected realms), i saw that actually i was connected with another 8-10 realms that are not in that list (and the big realm was alliance Silvermoon). My tooltip shows me the origin (realm) of the player.
So where-ever you move, that realm will be always busy and full.
Some people said that RP realm (role-playing) are less populated (Argent Dawn for example). I didn’t wanted to test anymore (because now i took a break from game), but you can try. I suggest you to move a alt, not the main.
Being from Argent Dawn for years, I can tell you, it’s not dead in any sense.
Population is pretty big, competition for mount farming is there, but not massively, same goes for rares and hunter pets, you can farm them, you have a good chance to get what you want, but we still have server hoppers who end up on our realm to take stuff from us.
I don’t understand why they have connected realms, if all servers are technically connected to each other.
