There’s very easy fix to this:
The system shuffles new player from the queue if an opponent leaves the arena.
I think making it simply just one round would be better

That and an overall boost to healer mmr would be all that is needed.

you fix shuffle and bgb by binning it and forcing people to queue like normal people and not get welfare rewards.
This is OK idea, but they need to ensure that match last longer than countdown before match.
Main reason why SS us under long que is because entire system not encourage healers to keep playing.
I gonna write it from my example: I play 3 hours, im doing well wining humbly +15 per win throu all those stinky draws which can also tank down your MMR. Than BAAAAM just one black swan lose versus hard counter and booom 0:6 and -75… How is possible that 5 wins versus different teams and players worth less than one black swan lose versus SAME people and TEAMS. So to build some rating you need 3 hours of play just to lose all in 15mins. This is unacceptable.
Also current system is very stupid and unrealisticf for healers because it consider player with -1 less ratting than you as easy target and demand you to win at least 5:1 which is absurd. Because in reallity even ±200 ratting not offer much a difference.
Draws for healers also need to look into, because DPS players play to win, healers play not to lose, sometimes even for draw you need to sweat.
If blizzard look into those stuff i wrote SS will be fixed instantly. People can agree with me or not but one thing is sure, healers are DRIVING force of SS, if not enough healers play DPS shoud spend 50mins in que, which is very miserable way to spend your gaming evning…

To much efford is put into SS by blizzard to abandon it… and its good for quick action while you dont have time finding people. They just need to do stuff I wrote and it woud be a instant fix, I can sacrifice my right hand to elemental lords for it.
Dont do it brother, even if we got the one button assist now it’s not worth it
In recent days i got feeling that blizzard is spending enormous effort into meaningless and stupid stuff like 1 button gaming, or new mounts and cosmetic in Store while people alredy have 300 of them and can ride only one so all this stuff is WORTHLESS.
With that effort elsewhere they can actualy fix their game, create new content etc… instead living on old glory which started to melt like polar ice.
Problem with shuffle is lack of heals and this is because you must be masochist to play heal. As heal you faster get ban than rating

Exactly, thats why they need to look into stuff I wrote because I played enough of SS games throu seasons as healer and I exactly know how system discourage evry healer to keep playing unless is masochist as you said.
Still waiting for my ban, haven’t seen it yet.
Write couple times phrase " you lining me idiot" and similar and you will get it in no time
