Everybody complain about this.
Maybe a time in a que takes a long time like a 20-30 mins but imagine if you could join a lobby that you wish to…
We wasted already to much time spending in a wrong lobby that we shoudnt belong to.
Ofcourse this proposal will extend a time in a que or maybe not but this is worth it.
First of all - no more under rating players in a high rated lobby. Ive been rising and falling to many times because of that. Every char should have zeroed rating even you got glad exp. Maximum rating difference in a 2100 - 2400 lobby should be no more then a 100.
Aftermatch vote system - you can put a thumb up or down for a player who e.g. was afk in your match, didnt pop huge defensives and dies in first 30 sec or he is a good player whos worth appreciating. This should create arena reputation which affects your matchmaking based on it.
Class locking system - are you tired of playing with a warrior in your lobby? or are you exhausted of playing against paladins with a hundreds of shields and immunites? Does your demon hunter breaks all CC’s and dont look at DR’s? You should have a choice to lock a class that you dont want to play with and matchmaking should collect players who lock same class so in a lobby there is guaranteed disabled class.
1- yea i agree with it, being 480 rating should not be with 2140 rated
2- That can increase sportmanship and keeping people in check of what they say, if they are toxic they will get a bad score and i like it even thought it should not affect the game itself imo and the matchmaking because it will increase queue time
3- No, that the goal of the solo shuffle is to be ranked versus everything. It is tempting to say “yes i can’t get out of dk they always train and we can’t easely reach a wall” but that is not how we progress and become better.
experienced : i used to hate DK because they could keep grip aimed shot and cc RF everytime and that annoyed me the most. For since BF to only in DF S1 i solved that issue with combining knockback + disengage to reach outrange of death grip
During that whole time i struggled did i get fun : Absolutely not
Even if it was my nemesis, is it possible to beat : yea everything can die so saying something can’t die is a coward answer
Did i progress and become better due to that whole struggle i couldn’t beat something specific ? Definitively become better
tempting choice to ban X spec or class
but a coward answer not good for you in order to become better at the game
because if implemented people will ask to ban 1, then 2 , then 3, then 4 to 12 only to face those they want
Not also forgeting banning X for their Sholo Shuffle increase the queue time
Agreed all you wrote including getting better against nemesis class. My suggestion to ban a class was about getting bored to play with a warrior in every lobby… and as we know warriors are one of the eaziest classes to play so thier rating is inflated and thats why its exhauted to play with them.
class bans are tough since everyone just bans their biggest counters but i actually like the idea. this would encourage less meta abuse. how about allowing people to ban one spec instead of an entire class? i might not like rets but i dont mind hpalas etc.
beyond that id put 2 casters, 2 melees n 2 healers per lobby to prevent tripple melee vs one spriest or tripple caster into one warrior lobbies as those are very frustrating.
Spec ban system would benefit rated PVP greatly because it would weed out the FOTM or broken specs that you or everybody in general doesn’t want to play against.
It would make the people who play those broken specs get less queues resulting in them themselves asking for their spec to get balanced better
Mages wouldn’t need to worry about Hunters anymore, Windwalkers about Mages, DHes about Sub rogues, Warlocks about Warriors etc, literal paradise for everybody
Since you wouldnt be allowed to ban the spec you yourself is playing and the game actively avoids putting multiple of the same spec in the same lobby as far as possible, if tons of people ban the same spec it´ll resault in very long que times for the most fotm specs n eventually end up in a retpocalypse lobby where there is 2-3 of the same spec, hopefully this would be a wakeup call for those people since people always go “i never see anyone else playing the spec im playing! clearly its not overrepresented!” due to not understanding how the que system even works.
I dont know if breaking up lobbies into 2 melees, 2 casters and 2 healers would work, technically i´d be fine with 4 melee lobbies or 4 caster lobbies, just dont put me against 3 casters if im on my warrior or 3 melees if im on a caster. I think removing the whole 3 vs 1 lobbies from happening would substantially increase game quality n would also put an end to the absurdly onesided lobbies that also rippled down the ranks n causes healers to get stuck in a 3-3.
For example if you put an affli lock against Arms-Ret-Enchancement shaman that lock is going to get abused like crazy n for him to even stand a chance at winning he would need to play far above his current rating. It would be equally unpleasant for a warrior to get into a mage-boomkin-spriest lobby, so why not ensure that doesnt happen?
ONLY VIABLE FIX: Algorythm to snapshot people death condition, for example if ret paladin dies with bubble aviable his healer shoud lose 50% less ratting for this round. Problem solved. This woud solve problem of those stinky draw games.
Healer life sux in SS, majority of games are stinky draws that feeling when you spend 20mins for 0 ratting, over and over feels like ULTIMATE waste of time and progress to nowhere.
Explanation: Healing in SS is very miserable experience, even when you do all humanly possible to heal those poeple, work to create oportunities some of your mates still dies with ALL defensives aviable, they die like bags… in this scenarios you shudnt be punished, end of story. We Healers are driving force of SS… do something for us or let DPS wait 55minutes for game.
this is actually a good idea. the amount of times i’ve won / lost rounds because of no block/bubble/darkness/turtle is insane. its gotta be like 20-40% of all losses and wins. especially at 2400 mmr and below.
With that idea, healers will be able to pull positive score even from draw games, and healing in SS wont feel like ultimate waste of time. It will also eliminate frustration of losing games because guy not using his basic toolkit and cant press that bubble.
And algorythim to snapshot death condition is easy to make… because evry class in game have somehting which can be called major defensive cooldown, its easy to make something which snapshot if that cooldown is used or not in moment of death.
Justice and rule of thumb says: (example)
If ret paladin die with his bubble aviable but unused, his healer shoud be punished less. Because its obviously that guy fault to die spectaculary.
Make it 2v2, remove the shuffle component, and it will become what people originally asked for.
WoW is the only MMORPG that have a “shuffle” formatted ranked arena and you all have somehow swalloed’s Blizzard “reasonings” to make it a shuffle format and can not see beyond that.
It should straight up be a -500 rating to the person that dies like that several times in a solo shuffle game and if they keep dying like that over several games, they get banned from queuing solo shuffle automatically.
Also, shadow priests that throw so hard. SP gets bursted hard, I ray him to try to keep up, manage to keep him up, he gets stunned and he’s losing HP fast so I’m pressing swap, just as I press it he trinkets and uses swap on me and then he dies. Actually killed himself by swapping me after I swapped him.
you not understand, DPS which dies with all his cooldowns aviable not geting punished…he loses as regulary, his healer just lose -50% less for that round
Majortiy of deaths are guys which not use a single defensive… Main problem is that healers pays the bill for this circus.
As healer i wont care if i lose a game with guy who died with his defensives aviable if im punished less for that round. So simply make something which snapshot condition of people deaths will be good way to go…
