How to fix the "AUGMENTATION EVOKER" problem in two easy steps!

  1. Give us more support classes. Make sub rogue, disc priest and the third dh spec support classes.

  2. Give them an extra icon. Groups can only have either a healer or a support in them.

There easy fixed. Even solves the rogue being bad (to level) problem.

The obvious candidate for this is Shaman. We acted like this back in days of yore. We’d drop Totems that did raid wide buffs adding Haste or Anti-Fear or Flametongue Weapon, a trickle of healing or mana.

We don’t have those totems anymore, in fact the only totem I use these days is healing stream totem and that’s as much for the nostalgia of having a totem on the ground next to me.

Paladin Auras used to do this to an extent too and could be repurposed to provide some of this too.

Stop giving Blizz more stupid ideas! My spec has been butchered enough lately.

  1. Yes. But I am not sure about Sub Rogue. I’d vote more for Outlaw to be re-reworked from scratch into a support role. I agree about Disc Priest, as it already has “support”-like elements in its playstyle. I can’t tell about DH, but there would need to be lore behind it. And the rest that could become support: Arcane Mage, Enhancement Shaman (it’s in the freaking name!), Demo Lock (use demons to support), Survival Hunter. That way every class has 2 roles.
  2. Nope. Increase group size to 6 and require a 1-1-1-3 composition.

I had my main swapped for my shaman to bring the buffs … In Tbc we were running with at least 5 shamans …

The thing is that they weren’t only support …they were 100% better than the current Augmentation since they would bring Buffs but keep up the dps-heal in top.

I Recall on Sunwell i was below on dps by 10%~ but providing the buffs. The current Augm work only because of how the M+ is Designed and with the Sp-Mage design as well …

It is good yes but i feel that my shaman in Tbc was way better and all-round character.

but a group without an healer would die in 2 secs. And since balancing is impossible now. imagine using a helare OR a supporter

If this is not implemented, I dont even want to see Aug in the loading screens. Delete it.

With the current support spec being the lonely Augvoker I’d say do 1-1-4 rather than this.

At the end a Shaman was Ecstasy since you were playing the game as your dps role while providing extra buff not only to you but to the whole party …

The current Augmentation is a role like a buffer with limited either healing/dps but provides an increase quality for the others dps .

As this going i would expect mythic Raids to have the new meta 4x Augm-evo .

No way …1-1-1-3 ?? We need at least 5 specs to compete with the Augm …

Not talking that we are going to loose specs from those 3*.

Let’s face it … The Augm should be removed-redo like the Ench shaman in Tbc-classic and up to Wotlk . Was 2 powerful and at some points the whole raids required a shaman in a party …

I preferred how we played back then. If you knew there was Fear coming in you’d drop a Tremor Totem (which lasted 3 minutes or more) and the party was protected.
Then they changed it to be more reactive so you had to drop the totem just as the Fear was coming and it only lasted 30 seconds or something. More like playing Dance Dance Hero on playstation. A game of hand-eye-coordination rapid reactions (not very RPG).
The game could have a mix of prepared classes having their totems on the ground in readiness and reactive classes that can have the rapid respnses (maybe rogue with kidney shot etc.).

One of the thing’s people forget was that majority of the Specs were bringing buffs …Surv Hunter Increase App… Hemmo rogue … Sunder warrior … Every class-spec was bringing buff.

Even now they bring buff but the difference in effectiveness is has so much huge cap that is not even worth mentioning .

So yes the gameplay back then was more amazing because spec were bringing more tools than now …

Right now we have Augm that bring 6-7 buffs +cds/def-/heal …And the other classes are use button 1-2-3 …repeat .

So yes a spec the has insane contribution that works insanely well with 2 specs-Sp-Mage . Make a big difference in the whole game .

Maybe a 5 people dungeon would be best ? 3 DPS 1 Tank 1 Healer 1 Support?

True. Implement them at the same time as 1-1-1-3 dungeons.

But for the love of all that is holy I hope blizz wont do 5 Aug specs FIRST… And then 10 years later the 1-1-1-3. That would be a disaster.

Someone else floated the idea of having a support role in the queue and making everything six man. It’s just going to make queues worse IMO and frankly the horrible effect Evoker has had so far is more than enough to highlight why repeating that mistake would make things worse.
