Hi,
No! This post ain’t talkin’ 'bout dyes!!!
this is what I think (yes, sometimes it happens to me as well) would fix transmog in wow:
- Remove Restrictions:
With cosmetic items from trading post (best thing ever) or from the shop I see no point in having restrictions such as plate, mail, leather and cloth.
As a DK you can run in Witch’s Attire but you cannot transmog regular cloth vest?
Uldir cloth set is like perfect combination of cloth and plate (gloves and shoulders) and I am sure my dwarf battle mages would love to see more of that!
Same goes for transmogging weapons: just remove them restrictions: Mage with a mace? Why not? Fury warrs mogging 1handers? = /love
I understand if we keep class sets restricted, that is ok I guess but overall having armor class restrictions makes no sense anymore.
- Add toggle to show/hide sheathed weapons:
With the introduction of backpacks (best thing ever) when you mogged weapons, both were shown backpack and the weapons. That allowed into some awesome looks like my assassin rogue with Black Dragon backpack and Legion artifact daggers that were sheathed on the back so it looked like the daggers are sticking outta backpack = awesome!
At the same time I understand it was not for everyone and blizzard has fixed it by hiding any sheated weapons on back if you have transmogged backpack or other items that are not cloaks.
This leads me into thinking why not allow both? Add a toggle “hide when sheated” option to weapon transmogs.
That would give you the choice to set up the looks how you want.
- Add “cosmetic” slots:
Getting a little wild here, but hear me out!
With the amount of goggles, hats, bandanas etc it would be cool if we can have a “cosmetic” slot:
Cosmetic slot: Face
Choose to transmog any “facial” item = goggles, monocles, face masks or “neck” helm items independently from “Head slot” items.
Goal of this is to be able to transmog for example hat and goggles, or go cowboy = hat+face bandana, maybe a scarf+goggles? Yes, why not!
Cosmetic slot: Backpack
Let us transmog backpack items separately from cloaks. Why can’t I have hoodie+cloak+backpack shown? Animation wise cloak doesn’t move in the back area so I wouldn’t clip (like the game ever cared about clipping) and again, we have more player choice over how you look or how you setup your transmog!
What do you all think? What more ideas would you bring to this?
P.S.: In case of a wipe, just transmog bigger hammer!!!
