How to fix warlock

… u didnt read. I said you go left and left mid tree , 1 darkglare, 1 soulrot - with new set.

you didnt understand me?,you dont play darkglare since you dont benefit from it,except extendig ur dots for few sec, which is better to go soulrot with set that does the same but more often.

u need the 8 sec dot extension and you need soulrot, but you dont need to strengthen darkglare, only if you want to align cds. soulrot tree for cd reduction and haste on multitarget is lackluster. so spec into the left trees for maximum synergy and damage.

multitarget and singletarget

u will still have more st if you go soulrot instead darkglare(not to mention u lose class trinket also)

Thats just false.

your 2.5% haste and 15 sec cd reduction are worth less than 30% and 20% dot damage . the 8 sec dot extension also extends the time window to spend soul shards on very strong malefic ruptures with 6 active dots + haunt.

i think now u troll

Are u saying darkglare tree will be stronger than soulrot tree?

only if you go for cd aligning, otherwise you stay left and left mid …

it isnt clear yet how much of a win/loss it is to align cds for more bursts or just have overall higher output.

couldnt agree more, using infernal was an ACTUAL cds and just not more shard generation.
When you popped infernal your dps could rooftop high, kinda like how demos aoe is currently with class trinket, just insane aoe damage.
And the best part it rewarded the player playing it correctly by reducing your inferals cd even more.
Only negetiv was that you did almost averge damage without it.

Damage by itself is boring, infernal doing more damage is completely passive, the shard generation instead has gameplay implications. Either way you do more damage.

If you could use gwd+rain of chaos together that would make infernal give you some pretty good burst every 2 min.

But first, they need to revert the change to gwd, and then make it a class talent.

But i kinda throw the towel with warlock, the dev clearly has no idea wtf he’s doing.

I think its mainly they are scared of making it too powerful but that would never be the case as you can always fine tune damage just like how they have done with all of the demo changes.
I think the problem with current warlock dev isnt that he is incompetent, its more that he focuses more on the meta instead of making changes people would enjoy.
Example is the cap to tyrant, now casual will pull of the same amount of dps as the highest tier of playerbase but didnt think of the consequences that it would do on the actual gameplay of demo.

All he needs to do is make the spec FUN to play and then he can change the numbers to a point of it being balanced.

Like this guy says. It is really easy to fix this class with few little touches. I see no good intents in dev’s behaviour with this class really.
It is clear as day they want to drag down and keep this class there. Making it painful to it’s core players.
Really insulting players with the changes they come up with.
