I of course agree nobody is forced to do certain content.
The schedule you show is exactly what i mean. Only M0 was unlocked. Not M+. But delves 4 and higher were.
M0 is dropping 593 veteran gear, if i am correct. Delves 8 are champion 603.
So yes we smashed our 16+ coffer keys in that week
I have merely read OPās post, and put my own thoughts to the topic.
Whether 4 differently people have said other things in this thread, is not a matter I care about. I have said my bit, and Iām going to move along and put you on ignore so you canāt harass me any further.
Na you did not put your own thoughts to the topic you said:
You absolutely falsely categorised delves to be supposed to be side content when I reality they are supposed to be an endgame pillar and then you ofcourse say they should take the gear from it so itās not ārequiredā.
That does sound less then an opinion and more like āfactsā or atleast what you believe to be facts.
And I donāt mean to be mean if your opinion is that delve should not be real content then say it that way. Itās easier to respect one opinion when it is said as an opinion and not as hard facts
Hmm, that sounds like Iām putting my thoughts on the topic.
I mean, it is side content, at best. In terms of quality of content.
I appreciate that some people like them, but theyāre no more enthralling than Torghast or Island Expeditions were. They wonāt really be missed if Blizzard moved onto something else.
But Iām not going to argue with people whether theyāre good or bad. I was just sharing my thoughts.
Iāll make this simple fellah. You take a piece of my content away. Iāll take away a piece of yours.
The audacity of a community that is always screaming about a lack of content yet feels it has the right to take away content because itās āboringā to them.
Raids. PvP. and Mythic plus bore me to tears. Pick one you want taken away.
It may be not content that you like or the people you play with but itās content that others like so why should they be changed in a way that they are less ārequiredā.
I honestly think saying any content is required is strange. If you dont like it donāt play it and if you really play on a lvl where even the tiniest 0,5% count then you want to be like that and that comes with certain consequences
As I say to everyone else, I donāt expect you to agree with me. But I donāt expect to receive petty responses like yours and the other guys.
If you donāt agree with me, thatās all you need to do.
Just read these forums. Itās full of people who want to change content that other people enjoy.
I just happen to think that Delves are not important enough to carry on. They donāt feel any more special than any other āsideā content that we had over recent expansions.
Maybe you can help me understand something that I honestly donāt get.
Why do people want content the personally donāt like be changed or discontinued?
Like I really donāt get it. I hate m+. I would never go there again no matter what but I would never in a million years want it gone or changed.
The forums account for approximately 5 to 10% of active players.
Thats your opinion. Blizzard obviously feel that Delves suit the purpose they were designed for and judging by a lot of posts and threads Iāve seen.
Delves ARE a popular feature. people (myself included) wish they were expanded upon to maximise their potential even further.
Yes we all do but I stand by what I said earlier. No one. NO ONE has the right to take content away from other people just because they donāt like it.
Letās get something straight. I donāt want it to be discontinued. I just couldnāt care if it were to be discontinued.
I would like it changed because I donāt really find it challenging or engaging enough. Each delve went on for too long, and were far too slow paced. There really is no excitement to running through them.
I tried Zekvir and again it was a mildly boring experience, which relied too much on trying it over and over again until RNG eventually falls in your favour and you beat it.
Again, thatās just my own opinion. Iām sure others have different opinions on it.
M+ was building on something that we already had and building on a way that players were already engaged in doing since Vanilla. Dungeons are a core part of the WoW experience.
Delves donāt really do that, nor do they feel like theyāre adding anything either. (again my own opinion).
I enjoy M+, but I can definitely see the negatives it has brought to WoW. Whilst I fully accept this would never happen, I would love to see WoW return to the more linear progression that it once had. Long levelling, dungeons, 1 tier raids. But those times are gone and WoW has developed around the way people play the game.
But it seems that the moment, there is a fork. Blizzard are trying to develop the game away from how people have been used to playing it, and this is making the game suffer.
And it wouldnāt surprise me if it is heavily skewed to represent a certain type of player. Rather than being a perfect 1:1 representation of how everyone enjoys playing WoW.
Most people I play with probably wouldnāt know the forums existed. Let alone agree with anything that is discussed as a āpopular opinionā here.
Yes, thatās my opinion. As I have stated all along.
Excellent. I would love to see you in some of these appauling FOMO threads. Because there seems to be alot of people in there who want to take something away from how I enjoy playing the gameā¦ that is time limited rewards.
I agree to a point, but whatās important to keep in mind is the target audience for delves. This is not supposed to be a super hard, sweaty experience. And it has to be doable in a comfortable way with the gear you earn through delves for that target audience.
Delves arenāt made for mythic raiders as an extra side activity, for instance.
So the progression through delves has to be in line with their intended purpose and design.
I myself havenāt even reached the upper levels so I donāt know how hard they are exactly but if people want even more challenging delv content Iām all for it but it should be as you said in line with delvs and not something you only do with raid gear after you raid logged
Even though this was written @ 13:41, it wouldnĀ“t even take that longā¦
Someone takes away your delves
you take away M+
some m+er takes away PvP
PvPer takes away raids
raider takes away pet battles
pet battler takes away questing
open world player takes away teh AH
Ah goblin takes away exploration
and I take away the ability to log in to Battle.net because thatĀ“s all that was left
sadly, I know how videogames work. Contrary to public opinion, FOMO has been a thing in videogames since PONG.
PAC MAN had FOMO by enticing you to pump endless 20ās into it to gobble up all those pips.
Space Invaders had it when they made you pump endless 20āps into it to kill those descending aliens.
Street Fighter 2 had it when they made you pump endless 20pās into it to fight a new opponent.
Sonic the hedgehog did it when they made you spend 40 quid to buy Sonic 4 to see new stuff.
Final fantasy did it when they released FFVII on da 4 disc collection and heavily marketed it with the tag line "Someone get cartridges a cigarrette.
Or if we want to move onto more modern timesā¦
Bethesda do it with Fallout 76.
Square Ebix do it with FF14
CAPCOM do it with SF6
MIDWAY do it with MK
NINTENDO do it with Zelda.
SONY do it with God Of War.
FOMO has. And always will be. A unfortunate necessity in videogaming. because otherwise. People wouldnāt play the game.
Why do people raid? Fear of missing out on gear.
Why do peopleplay M+. Fear of missing out on gear.
Why do people PvP. Fear of missing out on PvP rewards.
Remove mythic raiding or make it more tangible for players to finish it or maybe even farm it for rewards since one of the main problems of wow since forever is the drop out in players after a month or two.
Make no mistake about it, the dificulty, exagerated in some cases, will drive people away.
Player housing is a meh concept for me perosnally, but iāll play around it, and collect everything put behind an achievement.
The rest is too casual oriented for me and i donāt care
