I mainly have mine active as more of a “chat app”. It’s rare for there to be anything interesting posted that i feel like i’ll miss out on so i check the actual feed itself maybe once every few days for a few minutes and leave it at that. Most of it is just people posting about things happening in their daily lives anyways and the few i care enough about to want to know about this from are those i’ll talk to directly anyways.
Yeah, I guess Instagram does it for me there. Not using it all too frequently anymore, but my main reason for opening an account was following music release and concert dates. Kind of developed into an account for posting vinyl and plant pics, but tbh having conversations there is as short-lived as on any other social media platform. Most people online just as in real life aren’t able to make an effort and keep in touch anymore, so who cares. My plants are more loyal. x)
If it isn’t my family or close friend then that tends to be the case for any conversations i have on FB as well. I do have a few band FB pages i follow as well but these days i don’t even check those. Most of the news i get are about the local basketball club where the training has started back up again and the previous basketball club i was in since i’ve been too lazy to leave that group.
That being said then i’m sometimes rather bad at keeping in touch as well, so in that regard i may have to bow to the plant overlords.
