Hello, i’ve always been fascinated by wow pvp, love 1v1s, watch a lot of streams and find the tit-for-tat of wow pvp to be very fun but i don’t really know ‘‘how’’ to get into it.
I love competetive multiplayer games in general, Dota 2, Siege, League, CSGO, etc, all team based games, even got to a pretty decent rating in Dota and Siege, but the issue is i was playing solo, because the game gave me the option of solo queueing for ranked play, i could dump 1000 hours into just playing comp by myself all day to get there.
But i find myself confused at ‘‘how’’ to play wow arena, i know ‘‘go to the group finder find someone and queue’’, sure, but then they leave, and its a repeat sitting in group finder for 30 minutes for a 1 game after wich they leave.
WoW pvp seems too complex to ‘‘carry myself’’ to any noteworthy rating, so how do i realistically get into arena if i really want to?
This is the kind of answer i was dreading a bit, i don’t have any rl friends to play with wich i understand would make the whole grinding a bit easier.
Are there any communities for arena? Like the M+ learner communities?
Right now Idk but at the beginning of bfa there were few but nobody seems to ask/play with people in so…
I guess you have to start in lfg and try to find good people to play with, and don’t feel frustrated when some toxic people leave group it’s the only tip I can give you.
if u want pley pvp and have funs time wiz lfg and its dogpoopoo healers then rollz destoroc warlok or demon hunts. 2 most squirel bren specazashons in arina. dogpoopoo healer likes destoroc warlok and demon hunts bikoz can be lazy and no press butonz and posishon like brended monkimens. most brended specazashons in geme. if a healer want pley only wiz caster zis season, zats also tipikal sign it dogpoopoo healer. avoid dogpoopoo and report zem for being dogpoopoo
My guess is that you need to find a healing partner and queu up rated arenas and random BGs.
I think what separates a good pvper from a bad is how knowledgeable a good one is and how to answer situations with their reactions. What I’m trying to say is: if you know what the enemy is doing/going to do, you can already anticipate on it. And what it is you can do to outplay/outsmart your enemy.
Things like: a retri popped his wings?- you might wanna kite him because their burst is insane but other then their bursts they dont have a lot.
Or fighting a mage rogue and they go on your partner? You probably wanna save your trinket for blind.
Another thing that will significantly increase the way you learn is by actively wanna learn. Did you lose? Why did you lose? What did you do that could’ve been done better? Also try to play with relax people, nobody wants a rager.
If you can try to download a record program, record your arena games and look back at them.
One other thing I like to add is to get addons. There are a few addons which really help and get a clean UI. Have some sort of thought put into your ui like, have offensive cds close to eachother and same for defensives. Hide spells you dont actually need to see in your interface and maybe scale the UI a bit up.
There are so many things I could add but in the end it comes down to your play time (:
I’ll teach you a nice LFG trick to avoid bad players.
Type “LF boost to x rating”
Make sure that rating is not too far from your current xp range. The idea is you will actually find people who dont mind helping you out a bit, and are higher xp/cr than that range. They just see it as being easy.
Now it’s important that you aren’t bad and u actually improved your gameplay and win those matches. If not, make sure you are fully ready before doing so
