Hey.
Is there any “Trick” or something to get invited to the 7-10 range of M+? Because i know my gear & Skill is up-to par… Since i already timed a +10 with 4.5k dps on the last boss… But i just can’t seem to find any other groups after that
Hey.
Is there any “Trick” or something to get invited to the 7-10 range of M+? Because i know my gear & Skill is up-to par… Since i already timed a +10 with 4.5k dps on the last boss… But i just can’t seem to find any other groups after that
Play tank or healer. Dps players like yourself with your itemlvl and dps are hundreds per key.
I don’t really know how to be the “Route-setter” or to “Lead” the group tho… so blood might be difficult to pull off for me this early in the expansion, I also can’t really spend soul ash for a Tank legendary.
If you start tanking normal dungeons then hc mythic isn’t that different once you have the gear
Be a tank or healer. Don’t know the route? Raider io usually has some “standard” routes available.
If that still doesn’t attract you. Then create your own group. Don’t have a key? Either create a group for m0 and you will get a key to start off with. Or join some lower m+s. Like +4, +5. Finishing them also gives a key 1 level below(example: You completed a +5 dung, then you will also loot a +4 key alongside your loot…IF you DONT have your own key in the bags).
You’re not going to simply waltz into any groups as a DPS unless you’re excessively overqualified for them as there’s always plenty of competition.
Best way to improve your chances are to up your iLvl and increase your rio score. Want to get into +8s? Make sure you’ve completed all the dungeons on a +6 or +7 to get that base level of rio score.
Socialise - ask friends and guild members, then create a group with one of your keys. There are always people out there who want to find groups, whether that’s DPS players like yourself who want to actually play the game, or tanks and healers who want to have reliable DPS that follow mechanics an interrupt - so talk to people in the M+ groups you do get invited to and form or join circles where you can find people you want to play with a lot easier.
I do not recommend playing as a tank, it’s the most boring spec in the game, your fights will consist of, pull, for the most part stand in place and do your rotation, sometimes use defensives and move a little. It’s easy too usually. Healers are fun tho.
You can try looking for wow m+ communities and guilds, might have better luck there then in the lfg.
Experience is your best way to get into m + , the more runs u have the more likely you will get invited .
At higher rio it’s not enough to have a timed 10 , u need all of them + in high numbers .
If you are good and the runs u are in are a success you have a high chance ppl will push more .
At the moment when you’re looking for a DPS you have a list with more than 20 applicants and the list keep growing.
Your chances to get invited are low to say at best.
You might want to push your key until you get a dungeon you might miss, or spec Tank.
You have three options:
If you refuse any of the above you don’t get to complain about not getting into mythics.
Play something that’s in short supply.
Play a healer or tank and you’ll find yourself instantly invited to groups.
Yes, you have more responsibility than a DPS (which is why DPS is such a common roll) but you’ll benefit from fast invites/queues which also turns into more chances of loot.
This gona sounds like a typical “tank main respone” but i gues u either havent played tank at all or u tanked like normal dungeons at best…
Nothing high, up to like +5s atm, but there are no mechanics that are interesting to deal with for tanks, if there are maybe I just haven’t found them but it really doesn’t compare to dps mashing or healing, it’s plain boring for me I’m afraid. Have you tried other specs? Maybe you just don’t know how fun dpsing or healing gets? ^^
High RIO score and decent gear.
When my group pugs for mythic plus we usually pick the most experienced one out of the 20+ on the list we get in the first 10 seconds of listing.
That or form your own group.

You clearly never tanked a high level key.
I did not, but how do core mechanics of the gameplay change there? Your kit is still the same and boss/trash mechanics stay the same, they require higher gear and better understanding of the dungeon but it doesn’t change the fact that tanking is boring, at least for me, and mainly it’s due to the fact that there are no specific things tanks need to do outside of some mitigation on boss casts etc.
Positioning so your team doesn’t get annihilated, dodging cone attacks that one shot tanks. Using your mitigation perfectly, 1 bad timed defensive and it’s a wipe. Leading the group properly, and not doing 1 pack at time. Tanking high content is extremely hard and requires perfect knowledge if every single attack, every single mob does, in ever single dungeon lol.
Yeah they have a smaller DPS rotation, but multiple defensives to make up for that. Just hitting defensives when ever in higher content, and not saving it for that 30k hardcast = nn waste of 30 min key.
That’s great but it’s the same for other specs, they need to dodge stuff as well, use mitigation, still manage a rotation, know what mobs do and what to interupt/cc and when and so on and so forth. Core tank gameplay is imo boring. At high keys any spec will be challenging to play.
Players who are new to tanking are often positively surprised by how ‘easy’ it seems but they don’t realise that a lot of their mistakes get covered by healers.
In mythic+ it becomes obvious if a tank knows the trash packs. Do they know when to kite and most importantly, do they know what kiting even is? Do they know what they have to sidestep? Do they know when to stun? What to interrupt? Do they know the optimal route?
If you do mythic 0 or lower keys you can ignore some of it and think ‘oh I only had to use my defensives sometimes and stayed alive, this is so boring’ when the same stuff would have annihilated them in a higher key where it can’t be outhealed by your healer.
