How to get islands mounts?

So i got 2,4k dubloons and all pets, missing x3 quests becouse right invasion never spawns + no mounts, where is the mounts comeon?

They are random loot for Island Expeditions, the higher the difficulty, the higher the chance to get a mount.

Unless you were not asking a question…

I had Qinsho’s Eternal Hound drop on me a few weeks ago in Un’gol Ruins. With a max drop rate of 2.9% from Hisskarath, and much less on any other mobs. Assuming any other mounts have a similar drop rate, then you could in theory spend you’re entire life-time farming the damn things and never have it drop. :roll_eyes:

Random drops based around the Islands. I have had 2 mounts drop (both the SAME mount, so this can happen unfortunately) and neither of the Islands had any particular theme that associated with the mount that I could tell.

It was just pure randomness.

They appear to be 1:100 chance like most raid and dungeon mounts, so you should see 1 mount for every 100 IE you do, but again, if you have bad luck, you can triple that or more.

One mount in 100 sure, i have done thousands with only doing special pack + invasion so ur wrong.

It is also apparently based on types of mobs you kill.
So rng on top of rng on top of rotation.

This as well, as far as I’m aware been stated on past info (forums, guides etc), it doesn’t matter the difficulty just a rnjesus drop on the rare loot tables for ALL loot. It is incredibly frustrating to be fair, some wins just azertwat points, others I walk away with combo of 4 trans / 325 items pets etc. Seems to be no rhyme or reason to IE’s

Lost count how many islands I have done total, but I have leveled 8 toons to 120 now and a lot of others (about 7? more at 110-119), and most through Islands more or less…

I’ve gotten 1 mount so far, the jellyfish (most useless, and one I least wanted).
So I am sad :frowning:
It feels fairly hopeless with the low droprate…

I really doubt you’ve done a 1,000 Island Expeditions + special invasions. I highly doubt that, but if you say so.

Statistics speak for themselves, so you can’t argue with that. Qinsho’s Eternal Hound for example, on WoWDB appears to have a drop rate of around 1%~ 1 in every 100 kills MAY yield a mount. Some mobs have dropped the mount 9 times out of 450 attempts, making it even MORE than 1%.

It’s still not guaranteed that you would get it on the 100th attempt, or 200th, even with saying that.

It’s all random drops but they based off the mobs that you kill. It doesn’t guarantee a drop but if for instance you pull and kill most of the pirate trash mobs around the island, you increase the chance of dropping the Green Parrot mount. With Quinsho’s eternal Hound, from time to time you get the portals that open up with Mogus coming out, kill them as much as possible if you want to get the Hound, same with the Black Dragon.

For all I know it’s not based on how many you do, someone could be doing their 3rd Expedition and drop a mount, you know mount drops in WoW are completely based off luck, that includes any Raid or Dungeon mount, so don’t be surprised, it’s been like this since BC

It’s a bit out of date, since there has been noted to be a difference between difficulty.
