How to get LFR apperance?

I have heroic tier shoulders from Vault, I want the LFR colour, when the token drops in LFR I only have the transmog option, there is always someone who needs it, how am I meant to get it?

That’s the neat part - you can’t

Next expansion when you can do LFR of this tier again.

Queue for LFR and use the Transmog loot roll when It’s added.

Create a new char, get to the minimum ilvl for queuing. Don’t gear up. Only run LFR.

Blizz did acknowledge that it was harder than intended to get the LFR appearances.

I suspect they will come up with a fix in the future for this.

Imo, the simplist solution would be to allow Rank 1 Primalist Gear to be put through the Catalyst.

  • There’s some concerns about getting Class Set appearances (namely LFR ones) being a little too difficult. We don’t have anything to share here, just to say the availability of your set appearances does feel a little harder than intended and is something we’re interested in finding a solution for.

The most simple solution would be that if you get a higher version you get the lower version also.

Meaning if I complete the mythic set I should get the appearance of lfr normal and heroic set

with catalyst unlocking in june we’ll have an option to convert to previous tier for free but i’m not sure how it will work hope it can solve this issue

I heard this was on their radar or to do list in an interview with Ion… So maybe legacy LFR next xpac? Can’t imagine it will release before to that

Unfortunately, this solution is kind of unreliable, because the “need for transmog” option has a lower priority than the regular “need” loot option, and you can bet that there will be some other person who is eligible for and who make use of the regular “need” option.

So the only reliable ways of getting LFR transmogs are:

  • Run LFR items that are lower in ilvl than what LFR drops, so that you can select “need”.
  • Run M+2s for armor drops and convert them to Tier set pieces with the Catalyst.

Don’t tell me, Tell the OP. IDGAF,

Well, that would be a simple solution. But way too easy.

10.0 DF season 1 catalyst creation has already ended, and we can’t get raid tier conversion anymore, which is pretty stupid.

Every tier/season should have separate npc/charges for catalyst creation.

Old tier npc/charges should always be available. There is absolutely 0 reason that people can’t old tier set by creation, for transmog.

Absolutely agree with you.

But Blizzard did say they will be coming back. Most likely when the catalyst re-opens for Season 2.

However, I agree there was no point turning it off in the first place.

This is the most obvious and best solution. The only reason I have anything to say here at all is that this was one of the reasons why so many high level players were doing very low keys. They were intentionally getting not just valor, they were also getting items to convert into LFR appearances and then upgrading that one item all the way through all of its various transmog appearances, collecting them all in the process.

Nobody should have to do this. It’s just silly.

Try to get any cloth shoulders to drop from as a low an M+ dungeon key as you can. Then use the catalyst to convert it to tier shoulders. Done.
At least I hope that the lower M+ gear corresponds to LFR tints

the catalyst is closed until June sometime, when it reopens it’ll convert to season 2 tier gear

I see. So basically anyone who needed LFR mogs will have to wait years for the legacy loot LFR of these raids?

Not even. Without the catalyst where are we supposed to get the LFR tier cloak transmog?

they said the catalyst will give season 1 gear for free but i’m not sure if it involves every mode
