I have only just return to Wow and haven’t properly played since Legion, the game has change a lot since I last played, anyways I’ve been questing around the dragon isles and struggling to reach some locations, some quest are so high up in the mountains I can not seem to find a way up there.
Looking at your armoury, I don’t see that you have got any of the Dragonriding Glyph-Hunter achievements.
Dragonriding Glyphs are how you unlock extra power, speed, and height on your dragon. Without Glyphs to fill in your Dragonriding powers, Dragonriding barely gets you off the ground.
You really want to fill ALL the slots with your Glyphs, all the way down. The bottom three are where the real benefits pay off.
You learn Glyph points by flying through rings at specific points around the Dragon Isles.
It should take about an hour to get them.
You will also find lots of videos on YouTube showing where they are.
I had no idea I could even fly I been running around on ground mounts. you used to need to complete pathfinder achievement to unlock. now it make sense

There is a Pathfinder for Dragon Isles as well, that allows you to use regular flying mounts
but most people just keep using their Dragonriding mounts for most purposes, since they are so much faster.
The trick with Dragonriding is to point STRAIGHT UPWARDS and flap up with 3 or 4 Skyward Ascents. Then point your nose slightly down and glide to your destination. With the abilities unlocked by uour Glyphs, espcially Thrill of the Skies, you regain Vigor as you speed-glide and can again use Skyward Ascent to regain height.
