So - I just wanted to ask if any one has any ideas.
I have gotten really unlucky with vault for past 3 weeks, I had to take socket and spark.
I’ have a really bad trinket and my BIS trinket. I have been trying to upgrade the bad trinket (Screaming Black Dragonscale) for 3 weeks. I am doing 6 vault slots. M+, Raid in Normal and Heroic full clear. I always lose rolls.
Is there any other way I could upgrade the trinket? The crafted trinkets don’t seem very strong this season and we can’t spam farm low level mythics as it wouldn’t be the correct ilvl upgrade tier.
Just wondering if anyone knows another way, I just got back to the game after season 1. In season 1, I’d just spam a low level mythic until I get the trinket.
I’m in a guild that clears heroic but we’re pretty casual so we don’t have loot rules or anything and it’s kinda late in the season so people just bring their alts and roll on it. I lost the roll to a fresh 70 rogue last week which made me immediately log off and today. The guy was even whispering me saying how I’m doing so much dmg as a rogue and clearly doesn’t even play the class but what can you do.
Sadly we are stuck with RNG, I have accepted I am forever more going to have a normal Beacon. It happens all the time and I either just use the lesser version or use other trinkets that are also reasonable.
Depends what’s the guild’s goal. Do you want to raid mythic or casual clear heroic and then play your own m+?
If guild’s goal is mythic and they don’t reserve trinkets or rare items for mains, change guild.
If guild’s goal is just heroic there is no reason to run council. Makes no sense. Open roll is better. Else people won’t bother come and will go random pug.
You can farm 11s for 437 max. I used a 437 spoils my shadow till 3050 because I had bad luck. You don’t really need a 441 (heroic one), 437 is fine if you like a trinket from m+ (other than beacon which everyone wants).
Took me since the release of this tier with 3 raid/vault slots per week and 31 experiment kills to obtain a chromatic essence.

Unless you point to what class/spec you are playing we cannot really help you here.
Each and every spec has specific trinkets that vary in usability. Without that info we cannot really point to alternatives.
As for something that you can do regardless of spec is find another guild. Clearly it is something that upsets you enough to make a forum post, but they are still ok to let a new alt rogue get it. Either you did not communicate clearly the fact, or that no one cared.
Tbh, I’d wait for the turbulent timeways event. I swear 80% of the time, trinkets drop from the cache. I’m ofcourse assuming it’s gonna be the same as the Vault of the incarnate one. I swear I was only receiving Boons, Manic Grieftorches and the one from Razsageth.
I dont want to exagerate and leave the guild over it. But I don’t know, maybe this is why master loot was better. I don’t think an alt should get a trinket over someone’s main. But that’s just my opinion!
You have master loot now. It’s called loot council addon. Everyone auto pass loot and council decides who gets it. We use it for quite some time.
However it depends what’s your guild’s goals are. If you don’t plan doing serious mythic raid (3/9m is not mythic raid just slight harder heroic, mythic starts at rashok) then once you clear heroic raid as you don’t have any extra guild goals progress wise I don’t see a reason reserving trinkets for mains.
If you don’t play mythic raid and do only heroic and reserve loot then player with alts will quit your guild’s runs and go pug as they still have a chance to roll and win instead of passing to mains.
I’m in a not very serious guild that clears heroic and dabbles with a few mythic. As per usual it’s Summer and interest has tanked so we’re on a break. However our guild passes all loot and the RL rolls it out. This avoids people needing on alts because players are mostly just selfish.
Do what I did and make do with one of the trinkets from the time rifts until RNGEsus finally gets bored toying with you and says “OK here, stop crying…” and throws a bauble at you.
