How to get to honor lvl 500?

is there any hope getting to lvl 500? i thought i had done well getting to prestige 25 in legion, but unless you had spammed the wq’s daily on multiple toons during legion, is it possible to get it in bfa? thinking specifically about the mount, but the achieves would be nice too.

Level 500 requires 4.4 million honor to obtain. It’d be an inhumane grind even with the Alliance’s honor buff.

Well, it is possible but the grind is insane, indeed you need 4,4m honor as Fauffi mentioned, lets say you can get 1/2 honor level every day thats 1000 days or almost 3 years.Only way possible to reduce that time is to either grind 1-2 levels every day or multibox so essentially it will double,tripple and so on the honor gain.

If you mostly pvp its not only possible, it will happen naturally.
Last week alone with the event I gained more than 20 levels and I’m far from nolifing this

Spam epic on alliance. Alliance have 50% more honor buff when you are mercenary. Go with your team to frostwolf graveyard , dont capture frostwolf graveyard. Kill players around frostwolf graveyard. They will start to spawn on frostwolf graveyard. And kill horde as spawn kills. 5 honor per kill because you are alliance mercenary. 1-2 mage need to aoe frostwolf graveyard. Because some rogue , druid will attempt to run out of graveyard not to get farmed in GY.

That way you can get 4 honor levels per day on alliance. Like I said never capture frostwolf graveyard. And horde will spawn in GY. When mage aoe graveyard , they cant get stealth and run away. Each player kills give 5 honor.

Why would anyone need to get their honor level to 500?

Wouldn’t it be ‘artificial grinding’ instead of ‘natural result of your normal, everyday PvP-life’?

I think it’s meant to be just that, just to show how much of your life you have wasted in PvP instead of some goal you have to reach for and attain. It’s like mileage on car; you don’t STRIVE to get the number as big as possible, but it will get bigger every time you drive it, and some day, it will have a respectable number on it.

So why rush? Just let it accumulate naturally, and that way, show people who you are, instead of trying to artificially just ‘get’ the reward just so you can show off your superficial achievement.

2 things make you bg leader

  1. current rating on arena or rated battlegrounds
  2. honor level

When you are 500 honor level , you will automaticly be bg leader every bg. Blizz made this system to experienced player to control other players.

On russian alliance almost every other bg I’m bg leader. And I make raid warnings to team about what to do.

I made 3 lvls each day with bg event while playing merch mode, so yea it’s possible.

If you played troughtout the day you could get 7 levels a day like my friend did.

Screet is mercenary buff. Dont play horde.

its so stupid that im getting the same “rewards” until i hit lvl 400 :frowning: as a collector im was just looking at the mount at 500. what is more worrying is that as many people have got 500+ from spamming wq’s in legion on many alts, blizz might make rewards for lvl 600+ in 9.0 onward.

level 500 is quite unnatural to get via one toon :frowning:

Only way to get 500 honor level is mercenary buff if you are playing horde. Otherwise you will have 50% less honor from every killl and every bg wins.

i think you are right :frowning: which sucks cause:

  1. buff only lasts 1 hour, so you have to glue yourself to one place
  2. i get changed into human, whos racial aint as great anymore
  3. goes against the whole narrative of representing your faction
  4. while pvp is mostly 50-50, i think alliance overall are not as great as horde pvp wise. otherwise, why is there such a shortfall in alliance pvpers.

think i’ll just keep pvping at the times i do, but try use merc more. getting to 500 will be a long term goal for an expansion or 2 away. unlike trying to remain one of the top HKs on my server :slight_smile:

On ru servers win rates 70% ru alliance - 30% eu

But even if you lose , you will get more honor than horde bg win. Blizzard wants bgs to be active. Rewarding more than horde team if you join them even on loss you will get more honor than horde bg win.

Calling out things to do on alliance doesnt work.
Every now and then we win a Bg, but thats because hordeteam are ether REALLY bad or we work together…’

Edit: Lack of alliance sheeps to farm in epic BG? Nice try getting him/them back tho XD

On my english alliance server character , I won 22 bgs in a row tonight. And everyone listened each other worked together.

Dont think the same way.

i think the pain now, is that the merc buff only lasts 1 hour :frowning:

first 3 merc matches:

  1. 20 min wait for IoC then terrible attitude from alliance. lost.
  2. basically instant temple. but we were destroyed. horde had all 4 orbs, and 2 allys left the game at about 1000 points.
  3. warsong brawl. merc buff wont work :\ but horde won quite easily. 10-2. 850 horde honor vs 350 ally, but i think thats cause of the bonus flags…

ok, i got 700 honor for IoC, which was about the same as the lowest hordes who had won (never checked temple honor, was too disgusted), but this might be painful just to go through the ranks :frowning:

not to mention, racials keep disappearing as you swap between horde and alliance, you cant use the vicious mounts, even though you learn them for the other faction when you get one, and you basically have to glue yourself to the merc buff guy :frowning:

There might be hidden mmr. I win all the time on my eng alliance.
Plus only allies win usually on epics. Horde doesnt win there.

I want to get it to 500 because its the only pvp achievement i miss in pvp tab and i want to have them all completed
