this is insane… whenever i run this key on a +17 or higher people start dieing because i can’t get them up in time before the 2nd debuff runs out…
As a druid i may have a chance if i use flourish on the first set and treants on the 2nd set but as a disc priest i am completly lost.
Any advice as disc priest on how to heal this boss?
first people need to drop yellow arrow in light zone and rest is in dark which is less damage taken.
then dodge the orbs. run with the orbs (counter clockwise) not against it. if all play it like that its easy. or they dont dodge or let de debuff run out in slow zone (dark) then its a wipe or you are a god 300k hps healer

It only goes pear shaped when you dispel people in the slow or people get hit. Neither are really your problem unless you dispel so quickly you don’t give the person chance to move.
I dont get to heal them back up because i am constantly running around dodging… while running around i cant really heal and make use of my mindbender… thats the main issue… i know where to stand and when to dispel…
Then you need to think about your movement more. You have plenty of opportunity to plant your feet in the slow “dodge” time as well as when the debuffs go out, no movement required - they don’t overlap.
The problem is not you but they will blame and report the healer always.
Everyone but the one who gets dispelled has to be in the slow field/zone. This zone gives 20% damage reduction.
Only go into fast field with debuff and once dispelled, step out.
Also, maybe it still works, you can stack in fast field and let the debuff run out.
I hope you didnt make the mistake to take it seriously, because I did for years, and the bans coming from these persons as well, and it had a big toll on my mental health. It is not the heal here, people dont play the mechanic, like almost always! It is really frustrating to pug.
Another tip is that u walk in melee to the right against the bosses rotation to avoid the balls. You have to learn the pattern once or twice to do it successful but then you dont have to run around so much.
And a last specific tip for disc:
Spec for maximum dps and only use as direct heal spells PW:Radiance and for the extra ST on the person that ticks down the spontaneous Flash Heal if necessary.
Cant post the build here, but it is basically vastly different from the standard suggested builds which are not really the best.
People dont even play it right on 29 keys. Literally top 50 eu players in this game arent pro enough and learn(ed - because 3rd week) by doing/failing… disappointing every run
This. I’ve healed it on +20 as a holy priest, so a lot casting. It’s a tricky fight but it’s very doable when everyone stand where they need to be. WHen the orbs come the ideal situation is a fast jump between zones and you can heal again. No need to run around too much.
Okay so…
fix my movement by staying closer to the boss, maybe in lower key levels, and rely on others to stand correctly to give me the chance. (maybe tell them beforehand)
In a pug group, it’s going to be “harder” because i cannot tell people who is getting dispelled first… may require extra healing on the 2nd debuff but it should be managable once i fixed my problems…

I don’t think it’s mandatory to respecc, just for that one boss, espacially on such a key level. As i get higher in key levels i may look into it but as for now, i have other things to fix first…
Well you don’t “have” to dispell both. Look at the person you’re gonna dispel and the moment he’s standing in the fast zone push the button. The other person can let the debuff fall of naturally but ofc that results in him standing for too long in the danger zone. You have no choice tho if you can only dispell once.
I play both retail and wrath classic and if there’s one thing I wish retail had it’s that dispells have no CD. These days even dps paladins can’t dispell magic effects if they’re not specced into them.
2 with the debuffs inside light zone, two without in the dark zone and it’s done.
Most deaths I see on that boss is not the fault of the healer, it’s DPS not being in the correct zones or getting hit by orbs.
I know that players can suck at avoiding damage and standing in the right place but the only time I’ve had issues on this boss is the healer not dispelling or dispelling when the dps is still trying to get into the right zone.
So it probably very much depends on the group.
Here is the thing: You wont get an overlap between orb phase and dispell phase.
So. When its orb phase:

its up to the DDs to survive. In the sense that even if they stand in the fast zone, any renew / dot or whatever else will keep them alive. All you have to do is stand at melee range next to the tank (same applies for ALL dds by the way) and run atainst the orbs that spawn. EZ to dodge. Move 3 paces, cast a spell (some DD spell or whatever for atonement), repeat. If DD get hit by orbs they did not get the memo of the boss.

When its the dispell phase: If you PuG you wait 2 secconds for people to get into position. INSTANT dispell any random dude. THEY should be in possition, and if they are not its their fault. And then pop CDs, OR, in case of disc you should have atonement on everyone from all the renews and stuff from orb phase.
Here is the important thing: But since you dont have to dodge any orbs during this phase, you can just turret heal here. No need to even move, just spam heals, regardless of the zone. Just stay at melee range to move as little as possible between phases and your gucci.
Emphasis on melee range for you and DDs. Because you will receive less ticks of fast zone at melee range than being far from it. So its less damage to you, and the party to be at melee. Plus all your AoE spells work better.
and 2nd important thing: The dispell dot does damage. So its more important to keep that 1 guy alive with spot healing than anything else (unless someone is really low at <30% HP). Because if he dies, you will get 2 dispells at once and thats a wipe. This is also the reason why you want your 1st dispell to be as quick as possible as to give you maximum time to top people up.
Zones only becomes a problem here in keys above 23. Every other source of extra damage its DDs not doing their job.
