I usually go with 2 crafting professions, buying anything I need with gold. If I need gold, I would either buy a token or boost some people through dungeons or raids.
Why am I forced to pick up gathering profession, to spend hours getting Artisan’s Mettle?
Bro it’s a new X-Pac and new paradigm. Can’t do sheite for 17 years without changing? Adapt.
Not that I’m overly defending the new system. It already screwed me over.
But complaining that buying tokens can’t carry you through a profession anymore is probably the most smoothbrain take on the current situation
I’m 100% fine with grinding, and having hardmode enabled. However when luck gets put into the mix to make content last longer I do get a bit tilted. I don’t want to spend hours on a professions I will 100% remove, just to get a currency I need to progress a crafting profession.
Just make [Artisan’s Mettle] drop once pr. heroic, or make it a random boss drop in dungeons. (Like we had with Tears of Sargeras in Legion)
I just want to be able to progress, doing content I like - and again I’m not asking for it to be easy and fast, just possible.
Also for the future of it, lets say I do get Engineering AND Alchemy up, and Blizzards adds some new recipiences I need to discover using [Artisan’s Mettle] , I would have to remove a profession I potentially spend hundreds of thousands of gold at.
Well, author has got some point. Artisian’s Mettle looks like the weakest point of the whole new crafting system. It already has lots of gates and this one is the most imbalanced for different combinations of professions.
So now I’m pretty decently high in herbalism (which I have been forced to level to get Artisan’s Mettle), do I then switch profession to mining now? So I can keep getting AM’s ? This system is stupid. I need like 225 to make new gear for alchemy. Common Blizzard.
YOu will have to spend a lot of gold, my friend, that’s the only way. Maybe you could try to do it through crafting orders but you must research which prof has higher demand than supply.
I can tell that Engineering doesn’t much criteria above :D.
Okay, so to those out there who’s also getting stuck on 0 Artisan’s Mettle ! You have to drop your gathering profession, and level another gathering profession. Sorry - but that is apparently the intended gameplay.
If you want to be engineer and blacksmith, sorry that you cannot be this expansion.
If you want one crafting profession, you first need to level all gathering professions for Artisan’s Mettle .
