How do i leave Trade Chat forever?
Typing /leave 2 all the time is not enough…
My message for all you spammers of trade chat:
…just put your nasty sh*t in the AH and shut the hell up.
Have you tried the “Badboy” addon ?
It won’t get rid of everything but it filters out a lot of the spam and you have the option to ignore people in /2
i tried to ignore them…but they seem to make level 1 toons with different names and spam again…
This sh*t has to stop!
Right Click General, Settings, select Channels, remove tick from trade job done
That’s a bit much… you can turn off all chat in your battle net account… it may be under parental controls which you can add.
/leave trade
This, but you have to be in a city to do that. You can’t (un)tick trade chat unless you are in a zone where trade chat is active.
I checked it and it was grey for me and could not take it away.

Yeah my bad sorry should have mentioned you need to be in a zone where its active before you can do that
I made trade chat a separate tab and disabled it from showing up in the main chat tab.
I just left the chat and my UI does not even show it. One of my alts did test badboy and it does clean up some, and is worth trying as plan B.
you can right click on trade chat channel to separate it from the rest. Then never visit that side channel again.
I turn off general, trade and local defense on every new character as soon as I make them/enter a city. It really isn’t that hard.
I just woke up. For some reason I read this as how to leave Tyrande forever 
BadBoy doesn’t get this either. I’m getting absolutely sick to death of the constant boost advertising. It’s becoming a plague. And Blizzard are just letting it happen “as long as it’s for gold”. Because it being for gold means you can sell tokens. It’s disgusting.
To OP: Right click the chat tab then choose settings. Here you can find a list of channels to display. Uncheck Trade.
You can’t actually literally leave Trade, but this will make you never see it. Functionally the same thing from your PoV.
That’s how I did it.
Also, guys, report every group you see in lfg tool “WTS 15 key / nzoth”

Maybe it helps the community to at least get these cockroaches out of the lfg.
Had it in my mind that Badboy ignored trade chat from chars under a certain level, but turns out it’s whispers only.
