Best option is borrow money and play the ah .
Or try you’re luck with rare mounts .
There is not such thing as easy money .

Yes, buy tokens.
If you don’t want to work for it you spend IRL money to short cut it.
There is no easy quick way to get 5 million, if there was people wouldn’t spend £17 for 190k.

Not fast, but very reliable: mission table, on a horde of alts. Once set up, you make 300g / mission, 3-4 a day, on 10+ toons, that’s a nice 12k / day, 360k a month, so 5mill in about a year and a bit if you do nothing else. It’s also self sustaining, as you can run anima missions on the side to funnel into gold and rune missions (rune missions are the most profitable).
You do need to level a horde of alts, stock them up with some initial anima, and 4-5 followers (the more the merrier), but once that’s done, you’re set for the rest of the expansion.
It’s not fast, but it is reliable and easy. Just needs a bit of initial investment.

Imagine having to login 10+ toons, 4 times a day, just for the mission table alone. And there are people who says they are causals… :)))
Imagine the dedication one must have in order to do so every single day for a full year, on kinda fixed hours. Do you also wake up in the middle of the night to setup your …table?

Here’s the thing: you don’t need to. I do my mission table from my phone.

Other than that, spend 2 months after the new patch hits live, on farming mats (skinning, mining, herb, etc. ) 24/7. You already missed your best chance of farming stuff, which was the first 2 months of shadowlands.
I guess you have to settle for 9.1.

no, not really. if you havent taken advantage of the first 1-2 months material craze, then either playing the ah or farming stuff and selling at a lower price are your only options if you dont want to buy tokens or sell boosts.
like Ancelyn described, you could go the alt-route by playing a crap ton of alts and do callings/mission table/wq stuff but this requires a set up and having already a lot of characters shadowlands ready.
its not exactly fast but i suppose, if you re really desperate, you could do that.
other than that there are no fast ways of earning gold. i dont think that running old raids for gold is viable anymore after all the nerfs they received to gold.
Now that I think of it, when invincible dropped for me and I linked it in /1 I think someone offered me couple of millions for it. Can’t remember the exact amount.
Craft consumables which is needed for raiding. You will get steady income.
Withou tryharding/camping/etc. in SL I got from 80k gold to 1.2million and it slowly goes up (while raiding, buying legos, etc.)
You’re a bit late to the party for this time around, but playing the AH well in the start of each expansion will usually last you for the entire expansion (or forever, depending on what you spend gold on).
This expansion I made ~75 mil profit starting with a 800k gold investment crafting and selling all Legendary base items being very active outside my regular 9-17 job. At best the profit was almost up to +1mil liquid per hour, making those 75 million took around 6 weeks of playing 4-5 hours per day after work and ~10 on the weekend.
