I am not really seeing an argument
I am saving money, time and have more fun in the game If that is bad, then so be it.
Okay, then don’t play 2+ years, then come back
Only doing dragonraces for 2 years on 34 chars is also not playing to me.
Extra Gold making aside playing…
Dragonflight introduced the awesome idea, WQs are up for around 3 days
So you dedicate, what? An hour or two (hyperbole, since the races are around a minute, minute and a half tops, but lets count the other quest, travel and log in and out time too) twice a week and you are gucci
People “waste” - and I use the word loosely, since it means different for everyone, for some RP a waste, for other PvP - more time every day runing laps around the statue in Valdrakken waiting to queue to pop, the Raid team gather, etc.
Or gathering mats that are selling for copper not gold nowdays
More time efficient to do those WQs
Great; then you are faster than me For me it would take up all my wow play time.
To sum up: As you progress into an expansion gold earning per hour (not raw gold methods) goes down but at the same time in game expenses go down which means we have a balance.
Tokens exist so people with plenty of spare gold can “sell” some of it to other players. It started like this but down the road it ended up baiting a lot of people using many in game hours to farm gold to get 1 token monthly. There are people able to generate a token per 1-2 hours even now because they understand in game economics.
Game is not designed for the 1% of people that farm daily to buy the token but for the rest 99% of players. My average guildie has 150k gold and they don’t need more as they don’t have to pay for crafts (we have guild members that can make them) and they don’t spend a lot on consumables.
