Trying to get an achievement in an older expansion, guides are saying to unequip everything and “punch” the enemy, but when I have no weapon equipped my auto attack doesnt work because “requires a weapon” help please. How do I punch
You can use this for low level mobs:
If you’re doing really low level quest you’ll kill them even if you’re just auto-attacking.
The target stops the phase required at 25% and the Toy foam sword does 90% damage, tried that already but thank you
If the toy doesn’t help and you still want to try to auto-attack you can find your auto-attack ability in the General section of your spell book.
Yes I know how to use auto attack, but only works with a weapon, and ive been advised to remove weapon and “punch”. The auto attack ability in spellbook is described as “Automatically attacks a target in melee with an equipped weapon. This ability can be toggled on or off”
Doesnt work with no weapon equipped, hence the original question
Figured it out -
As ret pally, auto attacks are turned into “crusader strikes” via talents which requires a weapon, using my prot pally spec I can auto attack without one and “punch”

Why do you need a weapon to auto attack when you can right click your target with the mouse.
If that doesn’t work there should be a “special action button” to press.
Yes simply right clicking didnt work and required a weapon due to talents changing auto attacks to “crusader strikes” - explained above
Yes but remove the “Crusading Strikes” talent and it worked on my paladin.
Yeah that’d work, but found it easier and quicker to just change to my tank talents rather than play around with ret tree
