How to recreate a traditional wood elf?

As a big fan of the wood elves from Warhammer, I’ve always wanted to find the race / class that would be closest to them. And I think I found it. By choosing a specific combination of skin color, hair, hair style for void elves, I am able to create a character similar to my imagination. Although I know that from the lore point of view, the night elves are closest to them, I can’t stand their model, movement or proportion. They are also quite different from the traditional high / forest elves from Warhammer in terms of body build, height etc. Void/Blood have perfect proportions in my opinion.

What about blood elves? Well, here comes the matter of factions. The Allied forests and areas are closer to the old world of the empire in which the wood elves lived.

With a proper “forest ranger” hunter transmog that might work really well. What do you think?

I suppose you could go with a void elf and use TRP and transmogs to fit into the lore of the few remaining High Elves. It’s certainly not out of the norm for High Elves to be more forest bound than city bound and they definitely cared for their forests.

I’d be careful with trying to create something from a different universe though. You are still playing a character on Azeroth and everyone around you is in the Warcraft universe, not the Warhammer one.

I agree with you. I gave the Warhammer as an example/reference for the appearance and character. It would of course be difficult to transfer even a small slice of another universe. I like wood elves in general - be it MTG, Gwent or as you write a group of High Elves who chose to live closer to forests and nature. This is an interesting observation that I have not heard of. Can I read somewhere more about lore related to this?

You’ll want to read up on the Farstriders in general I’d wager
