I am lvl 43 Havoc specc sometimes I go into BGs and I got kited/rooted to hell. Vengeful retreat only removes slows, not abilities like root and frost nova.
Anything I can do to be more mobile?
Reverse magic (PVP talent) is a good way of removing roots off yourself. If you play nightfae you can also soulshape out of your roots (still CC’d but you can soulshape and keep hitting someone/los behind pillar) You can also still cast rain from above pvp talent while you are rooted and it will remove them and take you up in the air.

I will have to consider Rain from above talent, only 4% of the pvpers use it. I guess its not worth it taking over others.
You should use the PvP talent Cleansed by Flames, that causes your Immolation Aura to remove magical effects on you. Rain from Above and Reverse Magic can be used too but that is usually used for something more beneficial.

That DH says the truth. Its rly good (pvp) talent to have.
Always used cleansed with flames unless against a aff lock bcus you take UA dispel damage
